Pweb Awards - Yay or Nay?
It's been a very long time since we've held pweb awards. I have decided I'm willing to run them this year. Our first vote is whether or not to hold them. If the majority of people say yes in the next 10 days, I'll move forward with a nomination thread.
All you have to do in this thread is vote yay or nay, and suggest catagories.
My suggestions for catagories are as follows:
Best Poster overall
Funniest Poster
Best Thread overall
Funniest Thread
Best Game Thread
Best Newbie (joined in the past year)
Best Debator
Best Mod
Best Avatar

Being a lucker I am not going to vote in this thread or the Pweb Awards.
However, I remember past awards I participated in used the PM system, which can be cumbersome for elections. I have recently found a free survey system here that might be good for your purposes.

We should have something along the lines of "best comeback" for all those oldies who decide to start posting again.

I say yes. =]
It provides more reason for people to come around, to stick around, and to make friends on this forum. Also, it's something that can make a splash to get people interested in the forum a bit more! Also, voting is fun! And thinking is fun! And thinking about all the different personalities on this forum and which to vote for is fun!
I like it, anyway.

I think I'm usually more distracted by the kids. But I do think I would totally take the babymaker award!! 2 1/2 ain't bad work.the babymaker award
or a 'distracted by significant other' award would be a good one.

I'm kind of bummed we didn't resurrect the awards when I was a more active poster.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

It's not disgusting! I have 2 sons and my first daughter will be born in a little over 7 weeks, so she's not a full kid yet, just half a kid.2 1/2? thats disgusting...
Oh, and Adam, I was obviously distracted by my kids to interpret your meaning. Please forgive me, as you ARE the most distracted by a significant other, hands down!

You know, I always thought that moving in with a Pwebber would increase my Pweb usage, but it really hasn't. I think it's actually keeping me from here. Please forgive me, as you ARE the most distracted by a significant other, hands down!

I think my pweb presence has increased. Possibly because we enjoy reading threads together and talking about them.

Yup, shouldn't jump the gun. 23 'no' votes could come in the next 24 hours.
In fact, I'm saving my own vote to be the tie-breaker just in case.
