What can you tell me about Twilight?
I've heard mostly good reviews, although most are the squealy fangirl type: "OMG, LYK Edwardd is hawt!", type thing. They don't sound particularly good, but if so many people like them, there's gotta be SOMETHING too them. So, have any of you read them, and are they worth reading..... Not that I'm putting down Mien Kampf and For Whom the Bell tolls to do so.

Never read the books. Can't stand the author.
(I will SO deny I ever said that).

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

My husband and I both enjoy the books. They are fast, easy reads with romance and action. The romance wasn't too gushy to turn Brian off of them and the action was enough to keep him excited. You can read them without being a teenage fan girl.
If you're not so much into the teen fiction, her new book, The Host is adult fiction and reads like adult fiction in comparison to the Twilight books. It's style feels similar to Ender's Game, in my opinion. You might want to check this one out first, and then decide if you want to delve into a teenage life.

The Twilight books are a vampire romance - what happens when Bella, a 17yr old human, falls in love with a 108yr old vampire named Edward? They're really great books, there's a lot of action (not sexually) and adventure and excitement, aside from the romance.
If not, Meyer's written an adult fiction The Host, which is a wonderful book, and a must read.

Twilight is the time between dawn and sunrise and the time between dusk and sunset. It's not yet dark, but it's no longer still light.
Traditionally it is associated with romance. It is also the period in which most mammals are most active, and therefore the best time to go to the zoo. For zoo ... romance.

It's not "noob" to rhyme with "boob". It's "newbie" to rhyme with "boobie".
