I'm not registered with a party, but I lean to the left... quite a bit. Politics frustrate me a lot because people frustrate me a lot, but since we must have a government, I'd prefer it be dynamic and unafraid of change. The issue I care about most is civil rights, which for me is intristically tied to social norms that frustrate me to no end (e.g. homophobia). I'm a free thinker, basically.

I do vote for some democrats, but they're usually western democrats, like Gov. Richardson (D-NM) and Jeff Binghaman (Senate, D-NM)

I'm a social liberal, but a fiscal conservative.

In all, mostly moderate.

Of course, on this board, that usually forces me into a "republican" pigeonhole, along with everyone else who declines to mention President Bush without including "asshat" in the same sentence.

Well, it seems to me that to be a Republican, one has to be either:

1. A neo-con asshat
2. A conservative evangelical asshat
