I'm afraid we don't accept your apology, cheese. We're all a little miffed, frankly.

Miss you, too! It's kind of awesome seeing yours and Jebus's names on recent posts today. (By "kind of," I mean, "seriously.")

What she said! I have a hard time making time too. I've been trying more, lately.

I miss everyone too. I'm still around. Just...lamely quiet.

Ditto, ditto, Mr. Brooke.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Re: Miss you guys
So I continue to suck at the internet.
Life is hectic and as much as I like to read, it feels like so much effort to actually write.
I hate my job but am actively applying elsewhere.
And I just had the worst, scariest 48 hours of my life. Lizzy got sent to the hospital and spent 48 hours there because of pneumonia. We rode from her pediatrician to the hospital in an ambulance. They put in an IV and a nasal cannula for oxygen. It was so sad and scary to have her all hooked up to stuff. But we're home and she's doing well.
This does nothing to help control my first time mom paranoia. I struggle with wanting to take her in for every little thing. This just ramps thst up! I actually took her in Thursday because she wasn't acting right and they told me NBD, it's a cold. Fever on Saturday. Took her to the ER for difficulty breathing Sunday. Started meds. No improvement Monday and I took her in to her pedi... who sent us by ambulance to the hospital. To my heart of hearts, this says "see! Something was wrong on Thursday!"

Re: Miss you guys
Kim, I know exactly how you feel, and am so glad Lizzy is doing well now.
I think your heart of hearts is right. And you did exactly what a parent should do. You advocated for your child. You listened to your gut. You didn't try to brush off signs just because professionals said it was nothing, you persistently sought after care for your daughter and got her the help and attention she needed. I'm so sorry that it took so much effort to get there. But you are a fantastic mom, and Lizzy is so lucky to have you.
(Also, totally echo everything you said about sucking at the internet these days. I am also guilty).

Re: Miss you guys
I've been terrible, too. I don't like pweb on my phone, it's just too small, and I've barely had time to open my computer lately.
My heart was SO with you and Lizzy as I watched on fb. Sick littles are the worst.
China was amazing. Met some awesome people, saw beautiful things. Brian didn't break the record in China, but he set up an event at the kids' school last week and succeeded! He balanced a dozen eggs in 1:06! That's 10 seconds faster than the previous record holder. We're gathering all the paper work and media to submit to Guinness and hoping that they'll easily approve the record. Especially since we made friends with an awesome Guinness Guy from England when we were in Shanghai.
Jocelyn is 2! And Kinley's about to turn 5. Can't really believe it. Kinley will start Kindergarten this fall. I had to register her in December!
Mostly my busy is just the little things: driving kids to and from school, gymnastics, karate, choir, GT programs, doctor and dentist appointments, etc, etc, etc. Haven't had as much time even to cook lately! I did manage to pull off a lasagna with homemade ricotta yesterday in between the making/decorating of valentine's cookies and attending 2 elementary parties with them.
I'll really try to be better about posting!!! I love you all so much.

That's a lot of little things to be busy with! I can't believe Kinley's going to be in kindergarten. Also, totally jealous of the lasagna
