A picture of Monkey with my old camera:
Monkey with my NEW camera:
And just so Yoyo doesn't get jealous, here she is too:
To be fair, my old camera does much better outside in full light. But the difference inside, in low light is amazing.

Re: Pet Pics!
Today we learned that our camera has a video function. Naturally, the first thing we video is our dog. And yeah, it took him a minute to realize that I was no longer holding the leash.
Yay, I'm a llama again!

Fixed your tags for you. You just need the last bit after the equal sign, not the full URL.

That picture is just begging for a caption, LOL-cat style.

I didn't know you had a pet snake! Do you still have it? We're reptile buddies!

Nomi I've had her for 7 or 8 years now. When I got her she was no longer then my hand, now she is more then 3 feet long! She is a sweet not so little any more thing. This is an old picture from when she was 4ish years old.

Re: Pet Pics!
My little yin-yang kitties! I love that they both have a paw over their eyes in the exact same way.
Before pregnancy, they always insisted on at LEAST a foot of space between them. This is awesome.
(Ignore the fact that they eventually separated quickly with a good deal of hissing and spitting. That's not the point.)

Re: Pet Pics!
Cleo's new jacket
I got it for her because she has been getting cold when we go out side for walks or if she spends a lot of time in the back yard, As you can see from her face she is a little less then excited about it but she is much warmer when she comes back inside.
Poor baby... her mom keeps putting strange things on her, cones of shame, booties, and now a jacket!

Re: Pet Pics!
I wish! But a) Pheeny is much bigger than that, and b) she has terrible aim and would never be able to manage that. It takes her a long time just to catch huge worms in a bowl if I don't hand feed them to her. That is awesome though!

Re: Pet Pics!
This is Goldie:
(And that is my lovely niece, Jennifer Mikaela, looking out the door with her! 20 months old.)
She is the dog my parents got when I moved away to college. That was only part of the reason they got a dog, I mean, they still had three kids at home. The main reason they got her was to get my little sisters to not be afraid of dogs/animals/anything that moved even a little bit on its own (my sister Catherine was scared of clouds for a time). The story I have heard is that when my dad brought her home one of the twins ended up on my mother's shoulder and the other on her head. :D
The dog worked, though, and they aren't scared of animals.
There is some debate as to what breed Goldie is. She was a pound rescue (a Chalmation, actually! See my post in the regional words to find out what that means). I'm sure she isn't pure, but I think she has a lot of border collie in her. Her build and behavior fit the bill. Her coat doesn't. If I ever get a dog of my own I want one like her. She has always been perky and smart, and she has such a great attitude. She is a great size, not small but not large, and has such a beautiful coat. She sheds a LOT, though. Fur tumbleweeds roam the hallways at her house. If you brush her daily you get an extra dog worth of fur each time.
Goldie moved in with me and my grandmother "temporarily" when my parents moved back to the Augusta, GA area since they were renting a place and couldn't have a pet there. My grandmother took up with her so much that they weren't able to take her back when they got a house. Now my parents live next-door to my grandmother and Goldie, and my oldest little sister, brother-in-law, and niece live with Goldie, too. Goldie is 13 years old and has joint problems that she is on some kind of supplement for. She has had at least a couple of small strokes and is partially deaf now. Poor dog! But she is still a happy puppy!
This is Bandit:
This is Max:
Bandit and Max don't belong to me, but I have been dogsitting for them over the past year and a couple of months now whenever their owners are out of town. The week before Christmas I was with them while the owners were in Hawaii visiting their children and grandkids for Christmas, and this weekend I'm with them while they are in Atlanta at a wedding.
Bandit is a lab/setter mix that they have had for about three years now. Max is all rottweiler, he was their son's dog but they took him in "temporarily" while their son was deployed right after their grandson was born. Temporarily has been a year now and doesn't seem like it will ever end. I guess that is what grandparents are for, to take your dog away! :D
They are both great dogs, and I'm happy to be able to spend time with them but not have the financial burden of pet ownership right now. Just last Friday I had to take Bandit to the vet for an ear infection. That cost them over $100. I couldn't have afforded that.

Re: Pet Pics!
For her 5th (and last) birthday I made Cleo a peanut butter and Banana cake with peanut butter and yogurt frosting.
Cleo "patiently" waiting for me to finish frosting her cake,
Drooling at her cake
First licks of yumminess
and the slice I cute off for her
She LOVED it.
