And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

Still nothing here, either. I came home to a package yesterday and got SO EXCITED but it was just from my mom. I felt so bad about being disappointed in a package from my mother!
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I had her make some to take with me when I went to see my family. My mom had to hide them or else they would have been gone the first day.I got the cookies! Sorry, life was crazy and insane and I forgot to post about it at the time, but the snickerdoodles and home-made oreos were pretty spectacular

Still no gift.
I know better than anyone that life can totally get in the way all the time. I am having awful thoughts about it getting lost in the mail though, or being stolen by someone else in my apartment complex (although other than one dude who used to steal our newspaper and has since moved out, our neighbors are pretty nice).
If you're still working on it, I totally understand. In that case could you just make an anonymous post and let me know so that I can put my over active imagination to rest? I keep giving my neighbors the stink eye and I feel bad about it!

Thank you for the updates, ladies.
Confessions, how long ago did you send it out? Have you filed a claim with the post office?
Kirsten, let me know if you need me to double check the address with your person.

There are still some of our wonderful friends who have not received gifts. If you are not able to get yours done and mailed, just pm me privately. I have a few people who are willing to do a 2nd one to send to these ladies, if need be. There will be no hard feelings, I promise! I just want everyone who provided a gift to be able to receive one. Besides, I'd like to organize round 2 soon, but I don't want to do that until round 1 is wrapped up. Thanks!

So, I looked back through the thread and I didn't see posts from these people as having received their gifts:
Kelly
Helen
Fred
Claire
Kirsten
Is this accurate?
Those of you who have these names, I am setting a new deadline of the end of this month! If you can't get yours mailed out by then, no hard feelings, but please let me know! Everyone who worked hard on a gift deserves to receive one. I've had a volunteer in the past offer to do an extra, if needed. If anyone else would be able to volunteer to do an extra, PM me and let me know and I'll give you another name when I know who needs one.
I'd really like to get this wrapped up so we can do another round in September or so! For the next round, if it's too busy and stressful of a time, don't worry, we'll do it again and you can participate next time!

I GOT A PACKAGE TODAY!
I got some amazing-looking homemade chicken noodle soup from Helen! I haven't tasted it yet; I'm saving it for some chilly weather (so, like, next month) where it can work it's magic to the fullest extent. I'll report back when I try it. I'm sure it looks as good as it tastes! Thank you so, so much!

We ate one of the jars of soup last night! It was super, super delicious. Sadly, we broke into it becuase David and I are both getting sick. But what better remedy than homemade chicken noodle soup?
