So, http://www.geni.com/ is pretty much amazing. It boils down to Facebook for your Family. It's social networking meets a wiki for your genealogy. Information remains private, only accessible to other family members you invite to the tree.

I think it's pretty freakin' sweet. My grandma is going to town filling in ancestors I've never heard of.

Anyone else played with it? No? Well, you should. Now. Let's find out if any of us are related.

That's pretty fun... my only problem is that I can't figure out how to show that my mom's brother's wife is also my dad's sister... yeah, I have a weird family.

If you make her in both instances, and then control+click drag her onto the other her, you should be able to click that she's the same person. Maybe.

I'll definately be pointing this out to patrons soon. Geneology is all the rage these days. It's interesting.
