The construct "<organization> are happy", or something like that where a single group is used as a plural. (E.g. "Sony are a bunch of jerks", "Microsoft are claiming whatever") I believe it's grammatically correct, but it has always sounds incredibly awkward and wrong whenever I see or hear it. A company or group is a single entity, dagnabbit!
Seconded. Though I don't have to deal with any these days, thankfully.Extroverted morning people. When I'm dictator for life they will all be tortured mercilessly until noon.

ear aches
stupid, pointless arguments
people who are nice to others to their face but as soon as the other person is out of ear-shot they are bad mouthing them.
people who do that out of habit (seriously i work with a lady like that. she is also a backstabbing narc. i'm her supervisor, so she comes to me complaining.)
if any of you ever played star wars galaxies i have two words for you. combat upgrade.

Getting less sleep on weekends than during the week because I agree to social engagements at times that are "reasonable" for other people because I try to avoid the "wtf you get up at 2?" annoying conversation-lets.
Oh, and writing run-on sentences. But's past 4 so feh.
Edit: Oh, and one of the reasons I'm up so late anyway, which is the support for lvm-over-raid but not raid-over-lvm in initramfs-tools scripts which I don't feel like fixing. Requiring me to do ugly partition resizing stuff and difficult-without-a-monitor bootstrapping.

Oh for the love o-, if you're going to be bugged by people complaining about things let's stay out of the THREAD ABOUT THINGS PEOPLE HATE.The problem is I do understand it, which is all the more annoying. Why does he have to bug us about his problems when most of the people he's talking to don't understand it?

I hate...
People who think that life sucks, and have no good reason to think that, and/or haven't tried to improve their life so that they don't suck.
People who see every conflict in Black and White, good side and bad side; I personally try to look at the other side's needs and problems in a conflict (even the small ones) before I make up my mind.
Avoccado, beans, blueberry. I hate the taste.
Movies that you lose IQ from watching, such as Norbit and Eragon.
Books which are great overall, but describe the enviroment WAY too much, like the LOTR trilogy (but I loved The Hobbit). I read really quickly, but I can't read all the enviroment descriptions because it makes me mad, and then I really prefer to see the movies of those books, which usually suck. (Luckily for me, LOTR was a great trilogy of movies as well! ^_^)
Movies who focus on fighting, preferably before guns were made, and are over 3 hours long (like Troy. I had to leave the theater after 20 minutes because it was SO BORING!).
Bugs, of all kinds (not including Bunny).
Living Puppets (Ventriloquist puppets)- actually, my greatest fear, rather than what I hate. (Shouldn'ta watched that Goosebumps episode..yikes!)
Being sick, but still having to go to school- brings out the fun of being sick. Luckily, I can act sick pretty good =)
Being ignored. Brings out the bad sides of me; and there are many.
Lack of challenges, because it brings out boredom, and boredom brings out anger, and anger brings out hatred.
Being over-challenged, because it brings low self-esteem if I am not able to solve the challenge/s, and tiredness if I manage to solve the challenge/s.
Akon's music. I love rap, I just hate HIS raps.
...That's all I can think of right now; though remember, I am writing this in 00:30 in my country (GMT +02:00 time zone). Good night, y'all, and hope Slappy or Chucky don't come hunt you in your sleep =)

I remember I think I got out of detention once because my teacher felt sorry for me. (I had gone to school despite being quite sick.)Being sick, but still having to go to school- brings out the fun of being sick. Luckily, I can act sick pretty good =)

Buzzword buzzword something nobody understands.
Seriously, though, I don't see what the big deal is. Eri's hatred of my post seems legit, so it seems like an appropriate post for this thread.
Also seriously, though, that complaint doesn't make a lot of sense to me. You don't like the acronyms.... so you want me to drop them and be even more vague so even fewer people understand it? Or you want me to just spell out all of my acronyms? (That would get troublesome if I try ranting about Richard M. Stallman's little project, which seems somewhat likely coming from me. "Man, I hate G<stack overflow>.")
Edit:
I can't believe I never mentioned this here before, but: copyleft software licenses. In fact, this may warrant a slight sig adjustment...
Edit again:
Apparently the img tag doesn't recognize SVG as an image format. So screw it, nevermind. (The "sig adjustment" involved an svg, but now I'm not even bothering. Yay, more buzzword buzzword.)

I hate it when people take a good idea and make it into a miniseries instead of TV series when it could survive as a TV series.
I have two examples: The Lost Room and Fallen. Both are excellent and could stand being at least a full season long. Both left me wanting more and it's a damn shame they're so short.

Stupid book clubs automatically sending me featured selections just because I didn't indicate that I don't want them, especially when I'm almost certain that I did indicate that I didn't want them! Why do they have to work like that anyway? If someone wants something, they will order it. Do they figure that people are so lazy that if something that they never wanted is sent to them they'll just pay for it rather that than go to the trouble of sending it back? Well guess what, yeah I'm lazy, but I'm also cheap! My cheapness will beat out my laziness 9 times out of 10, so take that you bastards! You're just wasting your own money shipping me crap.

Being the only guy in a lab or workplace or something who's the only one who understands what the hell is going on.
Keeps happening, too, dammit. The two who actually knew more than me... oh why did you have to leave?
Edit:
Arguments/debates that introduce a metaphor of some kind, and then the opposing sides continue to use the damned metaphor. Example: the current life/cancer thing in that Eri/Ollie/EL thing, but I've mostly seen it elsewhere. It's just stupid.
Edit:
Libraries that open at 4pm (what the hell?).
Crappily-written programming assignment reference implementations (I was extremely confused at first when my implementation ran two orders of magnitude faster).
Things that make me get up before noon. *glares at class*

Double posting because apparently people around here forgot how to hate things properly (i.e. posting about them). Anyway:
-- Java. Not as in coffee, and not even as in the programming language. Java as in the technology platform, the Java that made all of this abstraction-up-the-whazoo impossible-to-maintain-properly "middleware" "jbean" "mbean" "<everyfuckingletter>bean" "jCrap" steaming pile of.... software, that I have to take care of. It could be that just every package maintainer for every Java EE-related thing I've ever used is incompetent, but that seems unlikely. And it's easier to blame Java.
-- So-called "enterprise" software in general. So of course one thing I do is work with enterprise Java software. Woo.
-- SELinux. Not that it's implemented poorly, or anything; it seems to be written well, but it's not like I would know. It is an incredible PITA to set up and it makes the system freakin' hard to use even after you manage that. But it probably needs to be that way. Security at that level isn't really possible without doing all of the annoying stuff that you need to do with SELinux. I still hate working with it though; it's just so unnecessary for some scenarios.
-- Higher-ups who, when given the choices "this is technically more secure" and "this is a lot more usable and less of a pain in the ass" always, always go for the more secure option without really understanding what it prevents you from doing. And later then want to do everything the same way as if they'd chosen the other option. "More secure" isn't always better, dammit! It makes you look like an idiot when you go overboard like that.
I think I'm done for now.

Seconded.YouTube's attempt to cover this own ass by taking down all the good videos.
-Going to sleep late, then waking up at 7 am "as usual"
-Not coming up with any new things to hate at 2:04 am GMT +02:00
Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who leaves Atlantis off the maps? Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs cavefish of their sight? Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do, we do!
