Today I'm Thankful That...
( I don't remember if that was the actual title of it... if anyone remembers for certain, let me know.)
First of all, obviously, today I'm thankful that PWEB is back. I've missed it. I've missed you all.
Secondly, I'm thankful it's bringing some old members out of the woodwork.
I'm thankful that I have an opportunity to repay a friend of mine a long-overdue favor.
I'm thankful that I think my professors like me.
I'm thankful that it's fall and the leaves are changing colors and it's just so very pretty out.

today i am thankful that zeroguy's post just made me laugh. aloud. even though i AM dealing with relationship crap.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Today I am thankful for the sky and the clouds outside my window.
If you ever find yourself reading a book entitled The Bible, you will find yourself reading the story of Adam and Eve, whose daring lives led them to put on clothing for the first time to escape from the snake infested garden in which they were living.

For crisp fall mornings with bright blue skies and golden leaves on trees.
For the extra half hour to work on my dissertation.
For shawls.
And bright purple hairspray.
And hot glue.

There's another home somewhere,
There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...
~~Mary Chapin Carpenter

Today, today I am thankful for Hatrack. And spanakopita.
Today I am thankful for the writing centre, and the fourth or fifth time I've had someone dissect my writing.
Today I am thankful for Molly, who figured out the exact souce of my Latin frustration and commiserated, making me feel validated in it.
Today I am thankful for an empty apartment. I want some alone time.
Today I am thankful for a warm quilt and a mug of tea.

I am thankful that Mark took today off work. I got to spend the day with him and otherwise I would have been really sad and lonely and missing Autumn. We went shopping for lots of stuff to get ready for my bearded dragon and he got a new computer monitor. Early anniversary gifts!
