About a magical.
Modelling.
School.
Paragraphs for emphasis. Because this sounds like things that should be thrown away.

Alas, though, the ugly people still have to deal with Thigh-High Boot Camp! And Catwalk Corridor!
I feel somewhat guilty that there is a huge, huge part of me that really wants to read it. Tyra Banks sort of fascinates me.

No! Don't feel guilty! Feed the desire! Then you can join me in the "I Enjoy Crap" club. I can list the Twilight movies as part of what qualifies me to be in the club, even, so this isn't so bad.

It is embarrassing. But I want to see how many catchphrases I can find that she uses on ANTM. The fact that I know what "smizing" is started the whole thing.
I suppose the fact that I have enjoyed watching marathons of ANTM proves that I belong in the I Enjoy Crap club.

I just now looked at that link and I have to say, that might be the scariest bunny I've seen outside of Donnie Darko.Like this one? http://brojsimpson.com/wordpress/wp-con ... /06/95.jpg

Then again, I ran away from Ronald McDonald when I was a kid, so I might be a bit of a coward.

Rare is the child who won't run screaming from the full-size version of the characters they see on tv.

Three-year-old Kirsten being comforted by her Daddy after an encounter with Santa Claus.
(Apparently, our poor next-door neighbor apologized to my parents for DAYS after unwittingly causing a Class A Meltdown.)
(Also, WOW. My father used to have an awful lot of hair.)
(ETA: Also, I am really impressed with my mother for having the presence of mind to take this picture. It's such perfect timing. It's obviously post-serious tantrumming, but pre-"it's all better, let me eat the candy in the brown bag." Just a beautiful shot of the the, "Why, Daddy? Why did you bring me here to see that weird man with the white stuff on his face who thought I would sit on his lap? Life is SO hard and unfair and wrong and I am only three and do not understand" phase of the whole ordeal.)

Oh, look at that face. That picture is priceless. Seriously, good on your mom for taking that.
I'll have to ask my mom if I was ever scared of that sort of thing. Just from what I remember, I wasn't so much scared as I was unsure of how to interact with them. They gesticulated in ways that were really exaggerated, didn't talk, and were super tall, so I didn't know what I was supposed to do in return. I don't believe, post-4, that I ever cried or anything, though. Just stared.

I never ever warmed up to the idea of Santa. I never wanted to sit on his lap and would ask to stay home when we would be heading out to go see him at a parade or the park. Same with giant Easter Bunnys and mascots and the county fairs.
It was actually a relief when I found out Santa wasn't real. I don't remember being upset, but kinda happy.

Cross-posted especially for Kirsten. Now, it's an "art project", but the initial photo was spur-of-the-moment and involved a woman putting a toilet seat cover on her head and taking a picture, so I'm counting it as "person in costume" and "doing strange things".

This is kind of the opposite of this thread's title, but I had to post it here.

I laughed so hard at it yesterday. Today, there's this: http://fora.mtv.ca/2012/12/who-wore-it- ... y-edition/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Ali's People in Costumes Doing Strange Things Thread
In addition to hearing about this all over the internet, I heard about it from one of my colleagues at work who saw it in the paper at the pita place around the corner. Gotta love what can make serious international news.
