Well, Kunta, I think you have to have been in Africa in order to be sent "back."
He meant it this way.

And I've been to Mexico. That doesn't mean, if someone told me to "go back to where came from," playing on racial statements, that it'd be accurate for me to throw out the "motherland" only having been there and not having lived there.btw- My parents took me to Africa when I was little.
But I missed that you were trying to be ironic and/or funny. So, yeah.

Why? Because its called Little Bees, duh. It really has nothing to do with her. In fact its a promotional video for a group of players in Eve Online (a video game).

I was hanging out with some friends tonight and mentioned, within context of the conversation, that I had never seen Shaun of the Dead but that I had wanted to for a long time and heard lots of good stuff about it. Luckily, the person whose apartment we were at owned it and she slapped that puppy in.
I thought of Nomi pretty much the entire time.

What did you think? The funny thing is, I only saw it a couple years ago when we taped it off Comedy Central since that way we could finally see an edited version of it. Same thing with Hot Fuzz.

Watching Mary Poppins today made me think of AliBut then I would have to punch him for that horrible accent, and I'd feel a little bad punching Dick Van Dyke.
Fortunately, I have no urge to punch Dick van Dyke, not having any first hand knowledge that his accent is horrible.

Whenever Cracked does an article on "N Things From the 1980s" it makes me think of Alea.

I'm hoping I can get to almost done while the Tiny One is small enough I can carry it around and park it somewhere. A pipe dream, I know.

Nomi, I bought Birkenstocks today!
I used to live in Birkenstocks but when my last pair gave out 7 years ago I couldn't afford to buy a new pair. If I'm honest with myself, I can't exactly afford it right now, either, but my feet have suffered long enough and at least now I've got a healthy savings account, whereas before I was living pay check to pay check.
Anyway, Nomi, Birks will always remind me of you; they're one of the first things we bonded over!

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Yay! I don't remember if I ever told you the site I buy from but it's direct from Germany and at least half the price of retail; free shipping though it takes about six weeks to arrive.
This was the last pair that I bought. I think they cost about $45 at the time. I've had them a couple years. I love them!

I was channel surfing the new channels* today and came across one showing Daria, which kept me entertained for the next hour. Also, apparently it's available on DVD now.
*We were forced to upgrade our dish and reciever box last week since the satellite the old one was pointed at is going to fall out of the sky soon and it supposedly wasn't compatible with the new satellite. The new basic package has more channels than our old one did too.

Ah, if you happened to see a trio of cars (two fusions and an explorer) on I 40 with Indiana plates a couple weeks ago, that was us en route to Gatlinburg for a bachelor party.I live in Cookeville instead of Sparta now... you were THREE miles from me.So, I was in Tennessee this weekend. Drove awfully close to a certain someone who's been AWOL for quite some time now.
Also we misread your sign at first and thought it said Cookieville. We've decided that Cookieville is a much better name than Cookeville, so you might want to look into getting it changed.
