Well, blowing large bubbles with my gum and popping them so he gets blown with a gust of wind seemed to bug him. But he slept much of the plane trip, so I had to wait until we arrived in the airport.I find with actions like that, even the people who say they never get annoyed probably will, but that's not necessarily a reason to do it. Generally good reasons to annoy people are necessary.
Who else thinks it will suck?

Has anyone considered the fact that if they choose to make Petra more feministic, that'll completely ruin her role?
I mean, have a look at Hermione from Harry Potter....I have nothing against her character, or the actress herself, but as the movies have progressed, the only role she acts out is of a girl deeply concerned with her friends' actions......and while that isn't all too bad, what happened to her book wormish-ness?
What if the same happens to Petra, and she loses her spunk? She's the only girl in Ender's jeesh, and having her be feminine would alter the role she plays.

Emphasis on 'feministic' mine, I thought you were using it more to imply feminism (sorry, I'm ashamed to say I think of feminists in stereotypical ways mostly) versus feminine. While going too far in either direction would not be a good thing, in my opinion, I'd rather see her pushed toward the former than the latter.Has anyone considered the fact that if they choose to make Petra more feministic, that'll completely ruin her role?
However, all that is pointless because I'm pretty sure your question is a result of reading the first page of this thread and Jeebsy's post in particular.

Yes, I was reading off that post in particular, but I didn't mean any offense by what I said; I guess I was just confused.I'm pretty sure your question is a result of reading the first page of this thread and Jeebsy's post in particular.
I agree with you as well on what type of character Petra should be portrayed as in the movie. ^__^

Yep. Now if you'll excuse me, now that I've woken from my siesta, I have to get to work. Those fruits and vegetables won't pick themselves and I still have to make it through the hordes of angry, jobless white people who are just dying to get at them before me!
Good to see you though; I swear I don't think you're gone for good every time you disappear for weeks or months on end.

Re:
NO WAY that would totally ruin Petra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1Yes, though if they made her a little more feminine it would surely improve her. A softer, more caring Petra. Maybe they should have her be training as a nurse instead of military genius.
"when a school counselor called her in to tell her that the school administration was growing concerned about the fact that Petra seemed to be associating with the antisocial element in the school, she knew that she was truly at home in Maralik."
