I have to say...I don't judge people who go out on Black Friday, but at the same time I really can't understand what savings could possibly be worth braving that degree of other people's insanity.

To be fair, i've never had a bad experience with it people getting crazy. The Walmart I go to is in my smallish town and i've only met really nice people while waiting for something. I went for pillows this year and the lady waiting next to us was getting about 14 pillows, 10 of which to donate. They also always give out tickets for the bigger low quantity stuff on a first come first serve basis, so if you don't have a ticket, you don't end up waiting around.

It's always crowded, but that's the worst of it.

I bought my first desktop for $150 on a Black Friday sale, and it lasted me for about two years before having to upgrade it. I consider that a huge steal, since I was in high school at the time and at the peak of my LAN party days.

Checked my credit score, noticed another credit card I never applied for or approved of. :lecture:

Also, dude who is renting out that condo that I possibly very much want, why are you not responding?! It took 10 minutes for the first one...can't you tell I'm not going to sleep well until you say I can go see it tomorrow?

I may have ranted about this before, but it bears repeating: people who drive fast and/or recklessly in parking lots, particularly ones near places likely to be frequented by children. Hello. The whole POINT of a parking lot is people park their cars and get out and walk. Hence, pedestrians. Slow down and watch where the f*** you are going! Self-absorbed, selfish, reckless morons!

I almost got hit by a car in a Target parking lot once. I had to literally jump out of the way and wrenched my back in the process. The car didn't even slow down or stop or notice me, even afterwards.

A guy acted like I ran over his toe yesterday in the grocery store parking lot. I was not pleased. I'm a chicken enough driver as it is without people making me paranoid.

I hate it when people speed through neighborhoods. The 25mph speed limit is not there solely to make your life miserable. Slow down so you don't hit somebody's kid.

This, a bajillion times!

My neighborhood in AZ has only one way in and one way out but there's a road that run along the center of the neighborhood that, thanks to some more recent than not work by the city, is very wide (and has always been relatively long). It used to have poles along the center of it but they removed those and buried the wires. They also didn't add much of a speed bump system so people started using it as though it were a non-neighborhood road and go very fast down it.

On one half of the neighborhood is a 55+ community that is very active (walking, bike riding) and on the other side are the regular homes where a ton of children live. I know the street looks like fair game for going over 25+ but it's in a neighborhood still and folks from both sides cross it constantly, making it extremely dangerous if people are speeding. If only they'd tried to put in more speed bumps...

I hate how anxious it makes me telling people about my anxieties. It's always a relief when I finally just say "I don't feel like people right now, and I don't know when I will start to," but it's so hard to work myself to that position.

Seriously?! Another shooting? At AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL?!?!?

26 people are dead? 18 of them children? A lot of the shooting in a kindergarten classroom?!?!

I know some of this is pregnancy hormones but I am sitting on the couch sobbing my eyes out. This is awful.

And now we'll have to sit through all the goddamn gun arguments again.

Kim, I'm crying at work. It's so awful.

ETA: There's a photo on CNN of parents waiting outside the school and one of them is holding a holiday coffee cup from Dunkin Donuts that says "JOY" on it, and I just cannot f****** handle it.

hear the bells are

I've been listening to the radio cover the shooting all morning and I keep crying. My nephew is the same age as many of those children and I can't even fathom what those families are going though. So completely heartbreaking and horrible.

I'm just sitting in the living room crying. Whenever Atty looks at me I try to make funny faces and act like it's okay for him and then I start crying again when he looks away.

Oh God. Just... So much heartbreak. So sad. So angry. So scared.

Why the f*** are reporters interviewing children who have just been traumatized on national TV?

f****** HELL. Everyone involved in that decision should be fired.

This was all I could think about when they played the sound clips over the radio. Interviewing children right outside the school, just made me sick.
