A super nice guy sent us a couple of old slides of our old Brussard being serviced in Reykjavik Iceland on her way to Canada after her long stint with Norway. He was thrilled we have kept her wearing her military paintjob. Still I havent found the right name for her

My bike is en route from AZ!

(Yes, yes, probably cheaper to get one off Craig's List or Freecycle but I know this one and my dad was willing to foot the shipping costs of something like $45.)

And we won the tournament! (and by "won", I really mean "steam rolled" - we were playing games to 15 points, and none of our opponents scored above 10, averaging about 7). I don't think I've won anything sports related since little league.

Hey there is a new you tube vid up of one of our boxcars done recently. Ya can just look up C-119 and or "Flying boxcars" to find it. We were just firing up the ladies and testing out their fancy new rebuilt carbs. One of the finest sounds there is to me, I swear sometimes my eyes get wet when one "Bursts into life" I love every vibration and seeing all the guages come on and alarms going off like she is waking in a bad mood and is quite terse with me over her inactivity and as she smoothes out and firing on all 18 cylinders and as she warms up to me (at 140f cyl head temp) and I can open up her cowl flaps so to let her say "hello" Uh" why is it all the engines in my life are female in every way?

Love the way sleepy Riv spreads herself out on me and cuddles. Love the way Nom can make her laugh. Love that Nom already thinks of them as a team.

Also love all the gin and other booze we got given recently.

Since last winter with the polar vortex I have been anxiously awaiting proper winter weather. Finally, the biting cold! I can put on my hat and my sweater and drink hot tea and stock up on Irish cream.

And now they're saying 4-6 inches tomorrow, maybe! SO EXCITED. :frolic:

I got my driver's license back today, after three years without it.

Relatedly, zero bought us a car. It's a black 2015 Honda Fit and it's pretty spiffy. And super convenient. Her name is Merith, after an ancient Egyptian physician.

Having Pweb back. Don't tell zero, but there were some happy tears that I was not expecting after all this time and after how quiet things have been.

Things that I love:

When clients return. I don't love that they have problems that need help, but I love I'm who they return to.

Cream cheese.

Some of the cheap target shirts for little boys. Atty has an orange one and a blue and lime green one that make me smile.

My new blowdryer. My hair looks about a gazillion times better.
There's another home somewhere,
There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...

Luke is six and Matt is 12, Matt just passed his hunter safety course recently. He wants to go to "huntin camp" this fall with the guys in the men in the worst way. Matt can drive "off road" pretty good, after dinner last night we bolted some custom wood blocks to the pedals of an old wheat truck. He might get a little harvest time in the field this year, it always was such a big deal to me at that age. And no Julie is not so happy with me for letting him drive at all.

I like life peaceful and drama free, I love to do what I like , I enjoy getting my own way, I like to win all the time, I love it when I'm not second guessed, I love it when my actions and obsessions are never questioned. And I love all of you that I really don't know well and wish ya'll were back here chatting again.
