Things that I love

Postby daPyr0x » Wed Apr 04, 2007 10:07 pm

I admit, I stole the idea from Janelle. Does this mean she'll fall in love with me now? =P

Post up yours!

1. The bright, warm sun after a cleansing rain.

2. The butterflies in your stomach you get every time you say "I love you" and truly mean it.

3. Losing yourself in the music.

4. Falling asleep in someone's arms.

5. Being with a good friend and just talking for hours on end.

6. The unconditional love of a pet.

7. Getting to play with that new toy/gadget/whatever.

8. Singing.

9. Having such a good time that nothing else in the world matters. Not the past, not the future, not anywhere but where you are right that second.

10. That first kiss.

11. Being out on a trail, all alone, just you and the trees. (In my case, on a bike, but in general...)

12. Hurtling down a snowy mountainside on two thin pieces of fiberglass.

13. Finally getting up the courage to do something you would never let yourself do before.

14. The anticipation of an oncoming rollercoaster drop.

15. A nice, cold, can of the good stuff (Coke :P)

16. Making something everyone told you couldn't be done work out.

17. Finally getting your hands on that book/movie/video game you've been anticipating for months.

18. Having a stranger compliment my car.

19. Being comforted by your pet(s) when you're down.

20. Having my little brother show me just how cool he is.

21. Learning something new that you didn't know or understand before.

22. Buying someone a gift that you know is really going to mean something and be of use to them.

23. Having someone give you a gift that they really thought out for you.

24. Surprising someone by besting their first impressions of you.

25. Being around someone who you are totally comfortable with, no matter what you're wearing, what you're doing, or what you're saying. Being completely comfortable just being you as you are.

Now it's your turn
Post up your own.
Stop trying to be perfect. Focus on being you; perfect will come.

1. Wandering aimlessly in a new town/city and just taking in the sights.
2. That funny feeling in my stomach when a plane is just leaving the ground at take-off.
3. Hugs and sloppy kisses from my nieces and nephews.
4. Hugs from good friends, and family.

7. The feeling of wind rushing through my hair.
8. Hot Chai on a cold day.
9. The way water can look like sparkling diamonds from the right angle.
10. Driving with the windows down and singing at the top of my lungs.
11. Shopping for fabric.
12. Seeing the light bulb turn on for a student who has been struggling.
13. The smell of earth after rain, or a watering.
14. Flowers and gardens.
15. A book that manages to draw you in, so much so that you think you're in it and get slightly disappointed when reality comes knocking.
16. Quoting a movie/tv show/book that is pretty much a staple in your life and having someone know where it's from.
17. Flying kites.
18. Building/creating something with my hands, be it furniture or a collage.
19. Getting lost in the crowd during a good (sports) game or concert.
20. Sing-alongs of soundtracks made for special events in my life (trips, in-jokes).
21. The fun of playing dress-up.
22. Lengthy conversations in coffee shops.
23. Walking hand in hand with someone you love.
24. Walking on crunchy leaves in the fall (in most places...here, it's in the summer when our trees get burned to a crisp.)
25. Confident people who march to their own drum.
Se paciente y duro; algún día este dolor te será útil.

I was just about to post "I wonder what would happen if Janelle received a PM from Jebus just saying 'Jebus'" in that other thread. But now it seems to have lost some of the appeal.

That look that Brian gives me and I know he loves me.
Hearing Tyler say "luv oo!"
Hearing my baby's heart beat.
Crying in the shower.
Acting out scenes of musicals when no one else is around.
Watching a candle in the dark.
The smell of fresh mountain air.
Fresh snowfall.
Walking barefoot in the rain on a warm summer evening.
Hugging my best friend.
Being cuddled.
Having my skin touched.
Having my muscles rubbed.
Waking up and knowing that Brian doesn't have to go to work that day.
Knowing my Heavenly Father loves me.

A long conversation with good friends.
The one above this, but with the wreckage of a good meal on the table.
Surprise phone calls late at night that last 2 hours.
Getting my homework done early.
Daily mass.
Mass with modern worship music.
Learning a new point of view.
Isidore of Seville's Etymologia
The crazy things medieval people did.
