Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful that someone other than me remembered this thread today :) Also for my choir, and for this forum as well as all my online and real life friends.

Happy Thanksgiving, Pweb! Today I am grateful for family, friends, and food!

I'm so damn happy to have found a new orthopedic cutter! the man impresses Julie and me lots, he specializes in tuff cases and he made an appt. to see us quick (only had to wait 3 days after my Gp called him) and during the 3 days he had all my records together and spoke with most of my other Dr's before we got there. As soon as I got sat he offered to pump em both with hydrocortizone and said looking at your last xrays I plainly see those knees are "totally shot out"we need to swap them both out ASAP! Im like so full of xmas joy and good cheer now im beside myself that would'nt The Doc sez were gonna cut on march 6th I'm scared but excited. He says with luck and if I stick to my therapy n watch the weight I aught to be in good shape by fall if my spine holds up. I have been frustrated by so many (i've lost count) Dr's would'nt fix me cuz of risk over my size ,weight , RA and my spinal issues. The rest of me works well, and we are so damn happy to find this guy, he wanted to cut on me second week of january but I have too much going on. Anyhow I'm so damn happy to be able to look forward to feeling better.

I love the snow on Christmas eve! All the family is comin the turkey is about to visit the oven. Then it time to go find a tractor and a rope and fill up the innertubes so as to go pull all the grandkids around the field and out to the big hill. Merry Christmas everyone! Never forget the Pie!

I'm thankful I finally finished writing the rough drafts of my staff's performance evaluations. Those were some anxiety-inducing bad boys that I will be happy to not have to do again (hopefully) for another year.

I'm thankful that I'm lucky enough to get to see Pwebbers in person, from time to time. Janelle a month ago, Yebra this week, Wil in December.

(I do wish I saw more Pwebbers and more often, even if only in text, but I'll take what I can and as happily as I can.)

Today I'm thankful that I spent a lovely day with my baby.
Walk to the bus on which we saw a cement truck (mind blown)
Bus ride.
Dr's visit, no ear infection just fluid behind the ears.
Lunch at Taco Bell
Baby fell asleep on the bus ride home.
Naps
Went to the pool for the first time (baby is a fan)
Showers
And now the husband is home frome work.

I live being able to spend time with Ronan on Tuesdays.

My boss is on vacation for two weeks. I needed the break.

My bike! Was fixed! Behind my back!
There's another home somewhere,
There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...

I was just planning a trip in my head this weekend to come see you and for us to go see Hamilton when it hits Chicago, but then I looked at ticket prices and I can't afford almost $600 for a ticket for the worst seats in the theater.

Where did you see $600 for the bad seats? Ticketmaster lists all tickets, depending on location, as $62-397. Scalped tickets are probably going to be that much and New Yorkers flying here to see it will probably buy out a lot of the tickets, but it should be semi-possible and not for quite that much.

Which is not intended, in any shape or form to pressure you to follow through on your (wonderful) idea. I'd love to have you visit, Hamilton or not, but I very much know stuff gets expensive.

Hmm. I'm not sure where it was through. Probably not legit. But if they are reasonable prices, I will absolutely come see Hamilton with you. Please, please, please! (The pleases are for seeing you and for seeing Hamilton.)

The Chicago Tribune had some info on ticket prices, etc. in their interview with the producer the other day. Good luck!

Thanks for the luck. I'm not sure if I should be trying for October or February, but I'll be trying for something. :)

Steph, if you'd like to come, is there a time that would work well for you?

This far in advance, I should be able to make anything work. A weekend would be easier, but if it's during the week, it's not a deal breaker. I wouldn't really want to miss Brayden's birthday, so sometime after October 8th. If it's into next year (which is fine) I wouldn't want to miss the girls' birthdays (January 14, March 8 ).

This is so exciting!

News came out today that Hamilton will hit Denver in the 2017-2018 theater schedule. (Yay!) I was concerned that because of that, Brian wouldn't be very supportive of my seeing it in Chicago with Alea within the next year, even though it could be up to 2 years from now before the show is here, because it would cost more to send me away to another city for a few days. I texted him about it today and he said "Yes, I still support you going to Chicago. I've wanted to send you to Chicago for years."

I'm thankful for a husband that knows me, loves me and supports me. And I'm seriously thankful to have something so exciting to look forward to! Chicago! Food! Sights! Theater! And all with an amazing friend! I'm giddy every time I think about it!

I have to admit, I was pretty sad/nervous when I heard they were headed there because I was sure that would mean you wouldn't be visiting, even though I knew that was always a possibility because life, ya know?

And he has wanted to send you here for a while. While I was still in school and part time, he tried planning a trip and I was extraordinarily bummed I couldn't make it work for the times he was hoping because I haven't seen you in forever and a day.

I'm thankful for my lovely husband and the wonderful dad he has become. I love that he sent me to see family in NY even though it was his first father's day (he was going to an out of town wedding and would have been gone but still)

I'm so thankful for this trip to NY and being able to show off the bug to friends and family.

Not to steal Steph's thunder (as if I could possibly do that), but I think I might try to come to Chicago this summer. Possibly on a weekend when the Birds are in town (Aug 13-14 or Sep 24-25) so we could catch a game at Wrigley. I'll need to check at work and see what's available, though. And, of course, it depends on what works for you as well.

Is this my lucky year, or what?

I'll have to check my schedule but I'm sure we can make something work for both of us!

Today I am super thankful that I had Pweb when I was a lonely teenager.

I just read this article and was taken back https://www.buzzfeed.com/hannahwoodhead ... .mpjEgglBn

I really miss this place! I know we all do.

Today I'm thankful that I've finally gotten to meet Tiny in real life and spend an awesome week together after meeting here 5 years ago.

Aww. These last two posts make me both nostalgic and happy.

It also makes me realize I have got to get my butt up to Canada, as there are a few folks I still haven't met yet who I desperately need to meet.
