Today hasn't been the best so far, but today I'm thankful for Nomi.

Today, I'm thankful that I have a super best friend who is coming to support me at my soccer tryout this afternoon. And it's going to be hot outside, too.

Today I'm thankful for lemonade and sunshine. And flowers with bees buzzing in them.

I am thankful for Ian McConville and Matt Boyd. I remember I first starting reading Mac Hall in July 2003. And it's still just so awesome I can't believe it sometimes. After 7 years, I still find it all so funny.

Today I am again thankful for sunshine. It will make cycling much more fun. I'm also thankful for my new boss (and my other boss). They're both great.

Today I'm thankful for the water. It's like 80 degrees up here (yes for me that extreamly hot) but I got to go swimming for 3 hours. :D Bliss.

Today I am thankful for:

*Lifehouse. I played one of their songs and it is one of those rare things that makes me as happy as Chicago. Probably because I heard it in '07-Chicago but whatever.

*FOB. I also played one (or a bunch) of their songs and it is juvenile, angry/sad, over-dramatic and cliche (I'm every cliche, but I simply do it best) but it is just like me and it feels good to be understood.

*Star Wars fruit flavored snacks. I hate to say it but it's kind of fun biting Yoda's head off.

*My little brother. Always, always, always. We're going to bad advice each other into the ground but at least we can count on each other to be there. Literally, tonight.

On any given day, I'm grateful for at least one member but my feelings towards the board as a whole run the gamut and today, they are firmly nestled in "eh." But I am otherwise having an "eh" day.

I am thankful I did not have to bike today. After biking and walking for so long yesterday, my butt and legs hurt.

Summer has finally decided to show up around here. It's 86 degrees outside with a slight breeze. I'm also thankful that I had the day off and got to spend some time outside with a book. I might go for a swim later. I also have some pork in the slow cooker for burritos tonight and it is starting to smell amazing.

I'm thankful for almost everything today : )

Today I'm thankful that I have Saturday to look forward to; it's my July 4th and I finally get 3 days -in a row, no less- off. I'm the only person in this branch who couldn't say I've had at least that much so far this summer.

I do love how we've finally had two days of summer and am quite thankful for it. I was beginning to fear it would never show and we'd be cold all through July and August just like we were through May and June. Now if only it didn't mean I am at risk of being ill every day :? But at this point, the risk is worth it.

Today I am thankful that, knock on wood for a continued trend here, the second half of August just may be okay after an abysmal start.

I went from great trip to:

*an unexpected refund check from my insurance waiting for me at home
*my brother calling me with the news that he'll be paying me back what he owes me (little brother, not older brother who took on my nieces and will never pay me back) and telling me he's visiting me this month
*getting 4 CDs of music, some of which I had already, but some of which I've only been wanting for quite literally the past year
*learning the location of my nieces, down to a street address...this has never happened so quickly when their mother moves them on us
*getting a potential sign, or maybe a precursor to one, or, at the very worst, getting something that I can interpret as permission (from myself) to stop counting. (I know this one either makes a whole lot of sense or none at all. Sorry.)
*learning that a mistake I made at work 8 days ago, that was going to cost us getting a free iPad and other similar devices, has worked itself out and we're back in business - to be fair, it was equally my supervisor's and coworker's fault but when everything was said and done, I was the one getting most of the blame

Fancy seeing you here, GD...I mean: Double post!

Today I am thankful that:

I get a day off. Two, in fact. I feel bad asking for them so being handed two days off is a nice little treat.

I have two furry little friends who love me so much, they cuddle with me, wait for me to wake up and try to rush that along, follow me everywhere I go, and just generally love me to pieces. Even though they drive me nuts, the feeling is mutual.

I have great friends. They also drive me nuts but I love 'em.

My family is alive and healthy, has food, shelter, clothes on their back, and sometimes is even cool to be around. Some of them, anyway. I'm thankful that I have those things, too.

Lastly, I am thankful that I was blessed/cursed with my silly head because I know better than to count my blessings only once a year.
So raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways, all my underdogs.

Like Alea said, it's good to be thankful more than once a year. I'm thankful for my family, both new and old. I'm thankful for the work I have, and the people I work with. I'm thankful for being able to go back to England. I'm so, so thankful for snow, and even more thankful for my impending visitor.

I'm thankful that I don't have to try to be perfect anymore. I never was and I was lousy at all my attempts. I don't know how long I thought I could try to keep up the effort but it goes a long way in explaining some of the exhaustion.

I'm thankful that I have friends who say things to me like, "Anything I can do to help?" and I don't even have to ask for them to be there, they will of their own accord.

I'm pretty damn thankful that I woke up today, despite it being earlier than my alarm by an hour.

Today I'm thankful that I have a solid house to keep me warm and dry.
Late at night when the world grows still, and a peace upraises from your soul, I take that chance to blend myself, with all of nature as a whole.
