Today I'm Thankful That...

Postby starlooker » Wed Sep 27, 2006 5:07 pm

( I don't remember if that was the actual title of it... if anyone remembers for certain, let me know.)

First of all, obviously, today I'm thankful that PWEB is back. I've missed it. I've missed you all.

Secondly, I'm thankful it's bringing some old members out of the woodwork.

I'm thankful that I have an opportunity to repay a friend of mine a long-overdue favor.

I'm thankful that I think my professors like me.

I'm thankful that it's fall and the leaves are changing colors and it's just so very pretty out.

Today I am thankful that Damaris and I are still together. Unfortunately, I don't know if that will be the same tomorrow.

well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting

I am thankful for my three-year old cousin once removed who thinks that I am just the most awesome person ever.

I am thankful that I'm still young enough to make bad decisions.

Today I am thankful for the sky and the clouds outside my window.

Today I am thankful that when I was in middle school, I was not in the same situation my brother is. He spent about 7 hours (including a quick break to eat dinner) doing homework tonight. And he's twelve.

And I?

Am thankful that was never my life when I was that age.

For crisp fall mornings with bright blue skies and golden leaves on trees.

For the extra half hour to work on my dissertation.

For shawls.

And bright purple hairspray.

And hot glue.

I am thankful that Mark took today off work. I got to spend the day with him and otherwise I would have been really sad and lonely and missing Autumn. We went shopping for lots of stuff to get ready for my bearded dragon and he got a new computer monitor. Early anniversary gifts!
