I used frozen (because they're cheaper and I'm poor :stoned: ) but the recipe calls for fresh. I'm not sure what the difference would have been but if they're better fresh, they're still worthwhile frozen.

Just mixed about a pound in a tbsp of OO, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste, and baked for 15 minutes at 400, turned, and baked another 10.
Yum! Garlic powder and green beans is a great combo =) My mom does something similar with asparagus too.

Not sure, I'll have to ask. She's staying in some student summer housing in the Loop.

It was Giordano's :)

Stumbled across this very, very, very old site and had to post about it here. I can't believe it's all still online: http://www.cafepress.co.uk/profile/71503" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm not even remotely sure where any proceeds for sales of these items would go. I'm sure that account was configured under an email address from 15 years ago that I no longer have access to, so I wouldn't even be able to make any changes.

There's a local doctor we get a lot of referrals from whose first name is Ender. I get a little jolt each time I see it.

This 10 year old girl trashing veterans in Super Smash Bros made me think of Ender playing with the "big kids" in the game room.

I knew them well enough to miss them, but not enough to ever learn who they grew up to be.
Man.

Uh, anyway...

Last week I drove between Portland and Boise, and had to return the rental car as the very last step of finally being back where I belong. I rented from a car lot in the airport, because PDX is awesome and legally cannot charge you more for things there which is the best thing ever and seriously how is that not a law everywhere. Anyway, I then took the MAX back home from the airport, as one does. The back was all empty, so I sat up there--

And remembered sitting back there with a number of friends whom I had never met in the flesh, and a friendly old dude going through and guessing we were all part of some sort of reunion, then proceeding to "read" which stereotypical part of the group we were. "The funny one", "the one who acts like they're sweet but are really up to no good," etc.

That was a fun time.

Quoting yourself is weird...
We're not on the light rail for long when this man walks on and ask/tells us "TGIF?" and follows it up with a question about whether or not we're on a high school reunion sort of thing. He then tells us who we are within the group.

To Teresa: (I think he says) you are the quiet, reserved one (WRONG)
To Jeff: you are the one who holds everyone together (RIGHT)
To me: you are the one who surprises people after two drinks (NO COMMENT)
To zero: you are the troublemaker (FAIR)
To Will: you are the one who doesn't know why he's here (PROBABLY)
To Fred: you are the one who keeps Will in line (DEFINITELY)

That was a great part of an overall great trip. *warm fuzzies*

Josh, October is pretty much shot but really any weekend I'm not working would be fine. Would you prefer a non-evil (winter month) so we can be outside and doing things?

I was kinda thinking maybe December 18th, but considering how the last movie we saw together flopped, maybe we should just wait and do something else in April. :P

I don't work that Friday (the 18th) but I do work the Saturday and Sunday, so I'd really only be available to hang out the Thursday evening before, Friday, and Saturday/Sunday after work. If that affects your willingness to visit that weekend.

Otherwise, that would be awesome!!
