I take refuge in a-typical Christmas music, John. Older stuff, medieval carols and such.

It helps when I'm browsing in a store and enduring the sickly-sweet drivel they play.

"All things Christmas" I suppose would include my dislike for Christmas in general... so, here it is: blargh.

I do kinda like the song "Grandma got run over by a reindeer", though.

Being that it is the day after Thanksgiving, I can officially consider myself in the Christmas spirit. And Christmas spirity I will be. I deck halls, I top trees, I dance along to White Christmas, I sing songs, I bake copius amounts of sweets. I adore this season. And it is officially upon us.

I don't actually start celebrating christmas until december, but we have chiristmas music playing at work.

It drives me batty.

Although I am anxious for the lights. My absolute favorite part of the season. Nothing makes me happier then laying in a dark room with the christmas tree glowing.

And if you have any doubts, just turn on the TV and get bombarded by all the ads for the day-after-thanksgiving and for-a-few-hours-only sales.

The ads at the end of November are almost as annoying as those at the beginning of the month.

I love Christmas.

This year my family decided not to put up the Christmas tree, and we're cutting way back on gifts. I am actually kind of glad about the gifts--it puts more of the focus on what I really celebrate when Christmas comes. Though I am kind of sad about the tree. It's fun to decorate it with my family and it's so pretty.

But yes, I will be baking a ton of cookies!

Gimme back my Halloween, I didn't get to go this year, even though I shouldn't. I don't like Christmas ver much. Too cold out aaaaaand I'm not particularly religious to begin with, nor do I like Santa, creepy old guy breaking into peoples homes, looks like he is constantly drunk. I never liked red faced old people. They smell like booze.

Christmas?
Bah... Humbug!

Lol, not really ^_^ i love Christmas. I love hearing christmas carrols when strolling down the streets, or walking in the malls. I love watching the nativity scenes (spanish tradition, instead of christmas trees... though now most people do both things ^_^)... and what about the classical Christmas movies? :D
And Christmas dinner! Is there a more heartwarming (and delicious) dinner in the whole year? :D

I love the peanuts christmas music.
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

I love religious Christmas songs, traditionally arranged, far more than any secular Christmas song. However, that said, my favorites change from year to year for the religious carols and hold steady for the secular song.

My favorite secular Christmas carol is "Silver Bells." I've loved it since I was three. I made my mom sing it to me through July when I was a kid.

Religious song wise, i go through a bunch. I haven't decided my favorite this year. "Joy to the World" has been up there for a while now, with "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" a close second. This year I can't get "Angels from the Realms of Glory" out of my head. However, "O Holy Night" is up there, as well. (That's my favorite song to play on the piano.)

Away in the Manger has a special place in my heart cuz my Daddy used to sing it to me when I was little, but he could never remember the words to the 2nd and 3rd verses, so we'd sing through the first verse and then he'd start the second verse, "The cattle are chewing their cud in the stall..." and go on from there and I just thought it was the funniest thing in the entire world.

I like Christmas music.

And Christmas lights. I do miss that about Christmas West Texas style -- West Texans total shameless adoration of lights, the more the better. The more outlandish the Christmas lights, the more I like 'em.
There's another home somewhere,
There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...

i really don't like christmas. bad bad memories (if you think some of the stuff you've heard me talk about on here is crazy, just understand that you get the tip of my iceberg. i don't post any of the REALLY insane stuff. read all about it someday, in my memoirs).

however, i do like the lights. but i will only tolerate christmas music from the 23rd-25th.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I'm usually really excited about Christmas and get into the spirit of it, but this year I'm more excited about New Year's than I am Christmas. Image

I don't really like any of the default emoticons on the new board, and actually this guy would be the equivalent: :D

I only used that one because I'm really really excited. Usually I use this guy: Image
