About a week ago I picked up Shadow Puppets. Today, after reading a bit in the first chapter, I headed over to the Acknowledgements section, just to see if there was a time line. Lo and behold, a website! With a clever name, and a time line, exactly what I needed! Upon heading to this website, while finding most links were down, there was talk of a script. An Ender's Game script. My heart leapt with joy, and I pursued the only (visibly) working link to a forum, where here I stand in awe of the discussions of this wonderful literary series.

My journey with Ender began naught but three months ago, after re-reading the Real Life webcomic archives, and finding there the mention of a book, which befuddled the main character upon reading the end. Of course, such a befuddling book must be read, and enjoyed. And enjoy it I did! One book after another, $8 at Borders, usually within the span of two or so weeks, and now, with Shadow Puppets in my hand, I find a website, with talk of a script, which I have been hoping for!

Huzzah to you, dear Mr. Card, and many thanks for the stories that kept me company between classes, riding home on the bus, and sometimes late at night.

No one's offered the limeade yet? Are we past limeade?

As a bastion of Ye Oldest Pweb, I shall offer the limeade.

Since when is limeade confined to the CA? I veto. The Prarie Dog Alliance claims equal limeade rights.

Limeade is definitely a Canadian Alliance thing. Sorry Petra. I think with the forum and whatnot, and everything being restarted, we should stick with tradition. And tradition is that limeade is exclusive of the Canadian Alliance :P

Yay for the Canadian Alliance!

And welcome to Pweb!!!

welcome!

a lot of the links are down because the site and the board recently crashed and is being being rebuilt slowly bit by bit. there's more information about all that throughout milagre.

stick around, get to know the place. we're going through a bit of a transitional period, obviously, but things will settle down soon enough.

hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

No. I deny that. There was a time when it was not so. Limeade was universal. I reject your reality and substitute my own!

As I recall, that universality of limeaide had something to do with the Prairie Dog Alliance stealing the limetree a few times.

Be sure to wander into pweb chat if you have AIM
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

Geez, sorry if the CA's response time is not within 24 minutes.

And I don't recall the CA ever restricting others from offering limeade to new people, or anyone at all. It's just not CA limeade. And it's customary for CA limeade to be offered to launchies... so non-CA limeade wouldn't take the place of it, or anything.

But I believe Vol or Noodle would be the authorities on this, if they would bother posting again.

Well, you've already been met with a sea of well-wishers, but I just thought I'd throw my welcome onto the pile. :) We're in a bit of a mourning period for the website and forum that crashed last month after 5 years, as Young Val explained so nicely, so everything is a bit up in the air right now. It's a lovely place though, I hope you'll stick around and join in the fun. :)

Actually, I think that coming here soon after the crash is actually an ideal time to join up. You don't have to worry about people messing their undies up when you start a new thread on an issue that was discussed three years earlier.

So Ms. Blue, tell us a little about yourself... Your occupation, the origin of your screen name and anything else that you would like to share.

I must say, coming in a couple weeks after the crash, it was great to see a thriving forum that was still just getting started out. There was no long time period for it to get moving, but it was still brand new. Yay!

I feel as though the forum is new after such a long period of not posting. I almost wonder if the crash is precisely what we needed...

Well, I'm a college student, woefully unemployed, and the origin of my screen name comes from my boyfriend, who is blueantoid. Um, my birthday was... ten days ago, as of today, and... I like cookies? I'm not very good at telling people about myself.

Your current Shadow Puppets quote scares and disturbs me.
