Breasts are not of this world

Apparently a nursing mother is offensive enough to warrant violating laws and kicking her off the plane.

That milk could be combined with other bodily fluids to make an explosive.

quite honestly, i think more mothers should breast feed their children (all children. not just babies) on planes. no. not just because i like seeing boobies.

think of it. stick a nipple in their mouth, don't let them do anything else. no more crying babies on planes!

man... i'm taking this idea to the FAA

You didn't know that boobies are VULGAR and SHAMEFUL? Well, there was an inservice about it. It was mandatory, so you should look into it.

They're very vulgar and shameful. I feel ashamed that I have them. Oh, cruel god, why must you make us choose between shameful bouncy things and aliens that help us pee? We cannot win!

I don't think it's at all related with being shameful. Instead, it's because it's antieconomic. Think of it... they are doing FOR FREE, what they could be doing by spending a lot of money, buy buying artificial mom milk. They would be contributing to the economic growth of the country. Instead, she decided to be antipatriotic, and do the cheap thing.
Shame on her.

BOOBIES, BOUNCY THINGS, GAZONGAS, FUN-BAGS, TITS, MILK DISPENSERS!

::goes on to a pron website::

Check it out, I'm still mature enough to see boobs, kewl.

FYI, "alien" referred to a penis, not a set of breasts. Hence the having to choose between them--most people don't have both.

As far as "If you're not mature enough to say breast, you're not mature enough to see one" goes--I'm not sure what your point is. Are you telling the shadowcrunch goddesses that we should get undressed in the dark and not look at my body because--oh nos!--we have boobies? Are you restricting Jebus & crew from sex?

What does your statement have to do with nursing at all?

I don't think it is so wrong saying boobies. It's just an affectionate way to call them. I mean, when you say "breasts" it really doesn't sound like a nurturing, motherly part of the body. Instead "boobies" really sounds like that.
I think that who created the word "breasts" didn't really know what he was doing.
Not that in Spanish we have better words... at least you guys have "boobies"... our two words for it, both forma and colloquial, sound pretty bad.

I have a proposal to make. If you want them to be called "boobies" say "aye". If you do not want them to be called "boobies" say "nay"

Ok, I don't care about the "boobies/no boobies" debate. I usually call them breasts, but whatever.

But, as a nursing mother back on topic, yes, it really does help with babies on planes. The whole landing and taking off ear pressure thing is what makes a lot of those babies cry. I'm glad I fed both my kids for longer than usually thought, for reasons like this. We used coats and stuff to cover up, but we had happier babies on airplanes.

but...but... babies aren't mature enough to say anything!

Let's starve them until they say "breast." That'll learn them! :P

And yes--on a serious note, nursing does help with babies. I (obviously) have never been in the situation, but I know people who have. Personally, I think a little breast is a lot less offensive than a screaming infant.

I don't know... Maybe not a little breast, but I won't complain about seeing a BIG one! (or two even) :D

Oh come on! You don't think breast feeding is sexy?

Well I don't think it's unsexy. It is what it is.

I'd be much more offended by a man breast feeding a baby.

I'll admit, when I saw the title of this thread I first thought something like "indeed; they are heavenly."
Ok, I don't care about the "boobies/no boobies" debate. I usually call them breasts, but whatever.
I vote for "stately pleasuredomes" myself.

Edit: After reading the article... if this somehow goes to court, would the case be "Gillette v Freedom"? I can imagine that would be interesting PR for a particular brand of razors.
