New Deathly Hallows teaser shots *Now with Spoilers!*
Getting right to the point, aren't we?
Hermoine really likes cherry jello.
Was there an acid trip somewhere in the book that I missed?
I wonder what they're all looking at?
Hermoine insists Harry read the new Twilight book
How is that bike not scraping itself to hell with Hagrid on top?
Harry sets Hedwig free with a wildly inappropriate black power salute.
Man... Harry looks creepier than that whole panel of Death Eaters from earlier.
What is this I don't even

Actually, the size of that sidecar makes it look like it was made for Hagrid, or at least someone his size, which makes me want to see a series about the Misadventures of Sirius Black and Hagrid.

Going on Sunday! We actually have a babysitter, which is amazing. I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but Harry Potter movies are totally a thing for Paul and I. We got together watching the first one, and it's neat how they've come out in different points in our relationship. I love that there are so many of them.

Alas, I can't go see it yet!
I don't really know anyone here who would see it with me. David and I are still reading the 7th book. In a few weeks we should be past the point where the movie breaks (rumor has it it's chapter 24) and we might go see it then. This is the first Harry Potter movie I haven't seen at the first showing!

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Can't you come with me to see it? all my invitable people are out of town! (probably they saw it coming)*Threadardium Leviosa!*
Is anyone going to see this at midnight? This weekend?
I can't convince anyone a midnight showing is a good idea, something about work tomorrow (which I'd like to point out, I also have), but there is a very high chance I'll see it tomorrow.

I went last night, and I thought it was pretty worth waiting in line! Although, I think I had the most annoying audience ever, almost made me wish I had waited to go. Now I just have to wait until July!

Me, too. The people behind us couldn't shut the f*** up for two minutes... Girls, keep the commentary to yourself and talk about it after the movie. I'm pretty sure everyone in the theater hates you right now, as everyone around you has told you to shush about a million times.I think I had the most annoying audience ever, almost made me wish I had waited to go.
And the people next to us hadn't read the books, so every other minute I had to hear:
"What was that?"
"How do you kill a horcrux?"
"Is the triangle thing a horcrux?"
"Where's Ron going?"
"Did Harry and Hermione really make out?"
"Dumbledore has the elder wand?"
All f****** night.
Step softly; a dream lies buried here.

Going to go see it with my friends, right. It better be worth missing my cousin's 15. And I hope the audience isn't annoying, like it was with Skyline, dont people know not to talk during the movie, like my friend, she thought we were watching Mega-Mind, so she kept on asking, "When will the blue dude get on?" I figured that the action and language will catch on to her, but it didnt. She wouldnt shut up even though, we whispered, "SHUT THE HELL UP!"
Good thing I'm not going with her, just me and my 4 buddies. Better be a good movie.

SPOILERS!!
So we saw it, and I quite enjoyed it, more than I did the last two or three, I think. The irriational yellingness was a bit much, but handled well. I continue to adore Robbie Coltrane, and I was so sad not to see Maggie Smith at all.
The little animation of the story of the three brothers was done so wonderfully. The animation was gorgeous, and this is coming from someone who generally hates that sort of modern angular art (like Hercules). I would have liked it more had it stayed as silhouette, but it was still pretty awesome.
I was glad they stayed pretty close to the story, and I'm glad they let so many people die. Dobby dying was sad, and I feel bad for him, being a terrible, terrible character on screen (slightly less annoying in the books).
And finally, I know there are a LOT of Harry/Hermione shippers squeeing themselves into hyperventilation today. God bless them.

I quite enjoyed it. I spent half the time freaking out because I love Ron soooo much, and other half the time freaking out because I knew how intense the coming scene would be.
*spoilers*
I really hoped Hedwig was going to make it through the movie. Godric's Hollow was exactly how I imagined, but even creepier, which was awesome.
Does anybody else thing Daniel Radcliffe is a really awkward romance scene actor? Especially when Bonnie Wright gets involved. Wasn't Ginny supposed to get less awkward and shy as she got older?

I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

You're right. She's not shy. Just weird.I dunno...
*minor spoiler*
"Can you zip me up?" is not exactly the traditional definition of shy

Marked the topic in general as spoileriffic.
George's interruption of Harry and Ginny was probably the funniest scene in the movie. Not that there were many, but still. That and the dancing were a little shoehorned in, but otherwise well executed moments that kept a movie that would have otherwise been The Dark Knight with Wizards light enough to be a family movie.

Very much exactly this for me. I've been thinking about it on and off throughout the day and that really may be my favorite part of the movie.
I agree about Danielle Radcliffe being an awkward romantic actor, at least with Bonnie Wright.
I cried when Dobby died. Maybe it's just a testament to how much I like all the "wrong" characters (a.k.a. the ones that annoy every other human being on the planet) in books/movies but he didn't annoy me in the movies and I don't believe he annoyed me in the books.
I'm not sure what they might have done differently but I was entirely unmoved by Mad Eye dying. Same with Hedwig, mostly but at least with Hedwig I wanted to be more upset than I was.
I'll admit to being a bit surprised by the Harry/Hermione making out (as part of the locket horcrux); I thought it was artfully done.
Lastly, not sure if it would have made a difference of my enjoyment if I had but I haven't read the book since 2007, so it seemed accurate enough from my recollections.

This too. It was very unemotional. I think because the characters never mention it or react later. It's like they didn't even notice.I'm not sure what they might have done differently but I was entirely unmoved by Mad Eye dying. Did you do that on purpose? Danielle is a girls name.I agree about Danielle Radcliffe
I think that anyone who hadn't read the books might be a bit lost, to say the least. They didn't even explain horcruxes as a refresher from the last movie.
But, I liked it.
During the locket scene with Harry and Hermoine, I turned to Paul and said "It's the stuff fanfic dreams are made of." And I think the two of them have more chemistry in the movies then in the books. In the books it's more obvious that her and Ron are meant to be.
Also, during the entire scene with the frozen lake, I was like "Do some kind of warming up charm!" Just putting clothes on DOESN'T CUT IT, you would DIE. Gah.

The movie was THE best! I cannot wait for part 2. The only down side is that most of friends had to leave before the movie even started, so they had to leave me and my friend, Marcus, alone with the only person in the group who hadn't seen either the movies or read the books. So he kept on asking questions, he got so annoying, that about 30 minutes in, we pretended that we had to go, it didn't bother him because in between asking us questions, he was talking to this girl he met there. So then we went went to the back of the thetear, and watched the rest of the movie. ITS BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

I was sad when Hedwig died. I even shed a tear!
I was sad when Dobbie died, but I didn't shed any tears.
Was I imagining it, or was there some Hermoine side-boob in the locket horcrux scene?
The two hours flew by, and I quite enjoyed the movie. Though, one question: What's the mirror/piece of glass Harry kept looking at and where did it come from? Been at least a year since I read the book, so I can't remember, and I'm 99.9% sure they didn't show it in any of the past movies because I just watched them.

The mirror was a gift from Sirius to Harry in Order of the Phoenix; it would have functioned much like a walkie talkie/phone. If Harry wanted or needed to get in touch with him, just use the mirror. Had he used this when he thought Voldemort kidnapped Sirius, that entire storming of the castle that resulted in Sirius' death would not have happened.
So raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways, all my underdogs.
