I saw it before it was taken down, but didn't have a chance to thank lyons for it. Anyway, that was hilarious, and I'm jealous they did it with only $20 and 5 days. I've told all of my IRL friends about it.

My mother made up a nursery-rhyme for my little brother when he was a baby due to the plethora of dinosaurs on his clothes. I thought you might enjoy it, Brontosaurus.

*clears throat* Ahem.

"A dinosaur in a grocery store is not a very pleasant thing!
He marches through the checkout aisles and tramples over everything.
He puts his snoot into the fruit;
his tail wipes out displays.
I'll tell you just what I've observed --
A grocery store is not a place for dinosaurs to play."

(For the first year of my brother's life, this was declaimed in our home only slightly less frequently than her all-time greatest hit, "Ubiquitous Bear.")

Again, created in honor of the bears that seemed to decorate all the infant boys' clothes we could find (except for the ones with dinosaurs).

Ubiquitous bear has savoir faire,
he takes it wherever he goes.
He rests on my pajama sleeve,
reclines upon my toes.
Ubiquitous bear is a dapper guy,
in a short tailcoat and a neat bowtie.
"He's cute and cuddly," the grown-ups claim.
(I just hope that he is tame.)

(And people wondered why the two of us had such excellent vocabularies at such early ages.)

Yeah, pretty much. I never really noticed it until I got to college -- and suddenly I noticed that, hey, not everyone has a mother who sang them "A Boy Named Sue" as a lullabye. Also, her poetry -- nursery rhyme and otherwise -- does tend to be on the awesome side.

I made dinosaur-shaped crumpets! But they kinda sucked because it was my first try at crumpets and I had to devour them to hide the evidence.
