We went to a Mormon temple today! It was very pretty, although a lot smaller than the picture in the paper led me to believe. I found it all around fascinating, especially its role in the LDS church and how it differs from most Christian churches.

Also, I was talking to a fellow afterwords and apparently he is involved in helping people to find employment (I think as a ministry of the LDS church) so he gave me his contact info. Who knows, it might lead to a job.

I love seeing *chan slang / memes in casual writing. Not trying to be funny with them, but just saying them.... I dunno, I just like them being incorporated into internet lexicon.

Vegetables, apparently. But so far only in soup or otherwise "hidden."

Eating the first local asparagus of the season! I'm going to be getting some a couple times a week while it's in season.

The calazones at my school. Everything else they cook is horrible, but the calazones are amazing.

logging into my credit card account on payday and seeing zero balances.

I pay off my credit card every week, and only use it for either 'emergency' spending like a car repair or for a few recurring payments (accumulate rewards), still it's nice those weeks of the month when I do my weekly log in and realize its not the end/beginning of the month yet and I've no charges to pay off. :)

I try not to hate too much and I hated earlier, so now it is time to love.

I love:
Burt's Bees Lip Balm aka chapstick (is chapstick like kleenex, where it's the brand and not the actual item but has come to mean the item in general?). I think I've mentioned this before but it's the best stuff I've ever used.

Judy Garland smoothies at my local theater. Strawberry-banana is the actual flavor.

How my dogs play with a mini-soccer ball. I'd venture to guess it's a size 2 ball, for those familiar with the sizing. The puppy is especially fond of doing a dog version of dribbling but will occasionally cheat and just bite it to move it.

Also pet related, I love how the puppy has a My Little Pony and Hot Wheels car as his comfort toys.

I love how much they've added to the Medieval and Christian sections!

Oh, and I also love frozen fruit.

I found something I had just finished telling my mom sometime in the past week I wish I had: the movie book my dad made that listed all the movies he recorded on VHS, that my brothers and I watched a million times growing up (1986-1994 or so).

It's really beat up now and we defaced it sometime after my dad moved out but this was our summer bible. Every night, just us kids would gather in the living room, grab the book, and have fun times (okay, there was lots of arguing but it was still fun) pouring over the list -even though we could say it by memory- until we found the movie that felt right.

For those interested in seeing why I like the awful movies I do:
Page one.
Page two.
Page three.
Page four.
Page five.
Page six.
Page seven.
Page eight.
Page nine.

(ETA: Huh. For some reason, the Girls Just Want To Have Fun-Follow That Bird-Romancing the Stone tape was not on one of those pages. I still have the tape but I'm a little saddened by it not being on the list. Neither was the Karate Kid-Private Resort-Bad News Bears tape. What gives, father?

ETA2: On further inspection, a page looks to have fallen out.)

That reminds of the big shelf my parents put their VHS tapes on that me and my sisters would sit in front of and read the movie titles one by one until we all agreed (or well, two out of three, we never all agreed).

Good times : )

we had tapes like that, but some, like the tape that had an officer and a gentleman on it or the tape that had rain man on it were tapes I was NOT ALLOWED to watch.

I asked my mom what happened to all those VHs with three movies on them that I used to watch over and over and she said she think she threw them away. :(:(:(

Show tunes.

And also, Glee. Very very much. (Maybe I should put this in Confessions, instead, since I'm a guy..)

Used bookstores. Though I may have mentioned that already in this thread.

Also, Boloco's summer burritos (mango + black bean + chicken + rice + cheese). I just realized I've had 35 of them since September.
