I have a friend whose wisdom and grace shames me. I wish I could be half as gracious a person as she is. And I don't think that I will ever have the words to tell her how much I admire and value her.

OH MY GOD my suitemate is annoying me SO BADLY and I need to vent about it without hurting anyones feelings so here goes. The mean girl inside of me wants to gossip to my roomate about how much my suitemate is getting on my nerves, just to see if she feels the same way. The results could be disastrous, but I don't know how much longer I can resist.
Tonight we went out for s'mores at kayak's and after eating about 3 smores and 4 plain marshmallows she says, twice (because everyone ignored her the first time) "I just realized...I don't really like marshmallows."
And her laugh is the worst laugh ever. Most people laugh from their chests so it sounds really hearty, but she laughs in her speaking voice so its really loud and it always sounds really shallow and fake. I don't know why it bothers me so much but it does.
She makes such a big deal about how she wakes up at 7:00 am every morning to go work out. Everytime she has the opportunity to mention it, she does. Who cares? Every time she drinks the least amount of alcohol she acts like she's really drunk and draws it out FOREVER using her fake-sounding-laugh more often than usual.
SHE REALLY IS A NICE PERSON and I'm sure I have habits that annoy people as well, but GOD I can't ignore this its getting worse, and I'm trying to be a big girl and not gossip about her behind her back, but she's not really doing anything that I can complain about to her face without sounding bitchy, so I have to hold it all inside.

Confession (in much shorter terms than it probably deserves): I came back to my home town because the college town seemed to be less comfortable, and I thought I didn't really fit in, to put it childishly. But now I'm back and all of the people that I thought I fit better with have taken turns for the worst in directions I don't care for but they seem to enjoy very much so. This is but one of the reasons I'm considering doing the whole transfer shuffle again, because I went back to visit my other college friends and nearly cried when I left.
It's possibly the first life-impacting decision I make, should I decide one group of friends over the other. I thought I already had, but it looks like it may have been the wrong choice...

Welcome. *gives welcome glass of limeaide*
It's not in the "rules," but moderately good spelling, punctuation, and grammar are enjoyed on Pweb. It just helps us all understand each other, and you'll get more people reading and replying to you if you do. Just a hopefully-helpful heads-up.
Hope you like it here.

They gave me two round thingys of garden vegetable cream cheese for my bagel. I only needed one. I ate the other one anyways, plain, with a plastic knife and without remorse.
Well, with a little remorse.
God I love having some privacy in the new office. I never dared do that in the pit.

Confession: I was wishing this today! I was thinking it would be so cool, since I work at a call center, and it would be perfect for a musical number. I would just start singing about how boring work is, and how mundane working in a call center is, then the people on my team would join in, and eventually we would all be dancing between the cubicles, doing fancy tricks with our headsets!Sometimes I wish my life were a musical.
Too bad I can't sing.
I want to watch Newsies again...

Confession: I got way too excited at the mention of Newsies (i.e. giddy to the point of jumping in my seat). I think I may be a little obsessed.
Confession 2: I just thought about what an interesting musical high school would make. Thankfully, before my mind got too carried away, I realized that it had already been done. I hate it when my good ideas get taken.

I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

Confession: I don't even like musicals, but some things just HAVE to get a musical based on them. Like the tale of Sweeny Todd, which has been adapted to a really good musical- the world needs a musical about (another) someone who's coming up with a new diabolical plan, which works. Maybe some evil genius, it'll be nice to see some of their plans go right for a change.
Confession: I've just gained an idea for a book (ANOTHER idea, after 2 other wonderful ones). But I can't write it, because I can't write- I always go and make an invincible character, or don't describe enough, or get bored after about 56 lines (I remember counting and seeing that 2 pages of a regular book have 56 lines, and a chapter usually has about 1344 lines. And for me that's crazy.

Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who leaves Atlantis off the maps? Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs cavefish of their sight? Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do, we do!

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,

Uni-ball rollers, micro sized, blue.
Just don't take them on a plane, the pressure changes wreck 'em.

I am obsessed with Pilot G-2 Extra fine black pens. I can't find packs of just black though, so I bought 5 refill packs. But I am salivating over the Pilot G-2 pack of pens in 10 colors, but they aren't extra fine point, so I think it would annoy me. I am also slightly obsessed with highlighters. I bought a 12 pack yesterday. And post-it flags... *drool*
Ollie, I still spend 15+ minutes in the pen aisle usually, even though I know exactly what I want.
Confession: I am a nerd and I love it. Here's what med school has done to me: I stay at panera past closing accidentally pretty regularly, even on friday nights. But it isn't as lame as it sounds, because at least after that I usually hang out with some friends.

I like the Pilot G2s... I'm currently using the Pilot V5's.
The fine point is really important to me.
My favorite pen ever was the Bic Z4... but apparently, I'm the only person in the world who loved them... as they seem to be gone. I'm highly disheartened, but the Pilot V5's are doing pretty well.
Oh, Ali! The Uni Rollerballs are now marketing that they're plane safe... at least the packs of them at OfficeMax when I went school supply shopping claimed to be plane safe.

The potraits thread reminded me...
I once went to see an opera in a tshirt, jeans, and shoes half-covered in duct tape. But I did feel a little weird about it.
And I initially capitalized Opera up there, before I realized when I'm not talking about the web browser it's usually not a proper noun.

PostSecret just does not move me like it used to. Often I wonder if the secrets are real, or just an attampt at getting a postcard on postsecret. I think this may be about my general sense of jadedness.

As I'm individuating from the department, I'm reverting to all sorts of unhealthy teenage behaviors that got me through my individuation from my parents.

- Title: Guilty
Confession:
I can't get him out of my head. I want to. I really want to get him out of my head.
Well, I say that. I want him out of my head but I'm flattered that I'm not out of his head. Though, it's affecting his relationship. I do feel bad about that.
I had him pretty well out of my head. But he's back.

The current US-CDN exchange rate makes it a pretty sweet deal to order from amazon.com. I feel conflicted because I believe strongly in supporting the Canadian economy, but the difference in some cases is so huge that it's hard to ignore.
