And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Fred, I don't think a picture of shoes is definitive proof of shoe wearing... you could be a mermaid who stole someone's shoes in order to take a picture of them.
(We'll ignore for the time being how a mermaid would use the internet... as really, she shouldn't get her computer wet, they don't like that.)

Fins instead of feet would go a long way towards explaining your general clumsiness on land.
Though even a pair of legs wouldn't be definitive proof. Disney made sure of that.
The fear of fish thing is kinda weird, but I guess even mermaids are allowed a little craziness.
And Kim, if they can make waterproof cameras, it shouldn't be too much to assume they can waterproof other kinds of electronics too.

The enemy's fly is down.

If I had a digital camera, I totally would have taken pictures of the process and posted it online. However, since I did not, no complete documentation exists, so you'll have to go with an "I think this is what happened most likely, maybe" general sort of idea.
1) Open up GameBoy, remove all electronics. Save A, B, and Start buttons.
2) Open up cell phone's bottom half, remove battery, remove back cover.
3) Detach top half of cell phone from bottom half.
4) Open up cell phone's top half, take out both ring and call speakers, and vibrator.
5) Using dremel saw, cut a hole in the GameBoy's faceplate where you wish for the cell phone numpad to rest. This can take a while, as you want it to be a flush fit; cut too much, you'll have a hole.
5.5) If necessary, also cut into side of faceplate or bottom, to leave room for side buttons and power socket.
6) Glue the numpad in place using superglue.
7) Reattach battery plug-ins in a manner that fits.
Glue cell phone screen to GameBoy screen where you wish it to rest.
9) Drill small hole just above GameBoy screen for the phone's speaker.
10) Using hot glue, attach the various speakers as such:
A) Ring speaker where GameBoy speaker was
B) Talk speaker under hole just drilled
C) Vibrating speaker along back of GameBoy
11) Make sure there isn't anything you or I haven't forgotten.
12) Cover everything that you can inside the GameBoy with hot glue, to hold it in place.
13) Using caulk, fill in any holes or cracks you might have left.
14) Screw your new PhoneBoy back together.
I'm pretty sure that's what we did, but, really, it was all pretty intuitive, as long as you were careful. And I'm planning on going to Lowe's and having them color-match the GameBoy so that I can paint over the numpad.

Shell the unshellable, crawl the uncrawlible.
