My favorite Rory pairing was Dean. He was so sweet to her and so good to her. Then she was awful to him at the end of their relationship #1. The second iteration of them made me sad though. Dean should have been too good a person to cheat on Lindsay like that. I always disliked Jess. He was that nasty bad boy emo kid that people pretend good girls like. But we don't always! I'm a goody goody study girl like Season 1 Rory... but then she met Jess and her character went downhill from there to skanky sleep with someone shortly after meeting them girl she is with Logan.

I supposed I do like Christopher... but not really because he always blows through Lorelai's life and messes up whatever she's got going on and she just always ends up going back to him. And Luke was so wonderful. Except for the whole April-batshit-insane thing last season.

Gigi got the name as a nickname for Georgia, which is what Sherry named her.

personally, i alwasy liked dean best. but i guess that's just a pipe-dream now.

and i liked dave way better than zack (zach?) for lane.
That's the trouble with TV, they move onto other shows and never come back.

They never even officially broke Dave and Lane up, he just disappeared to the frickin O.C.

You know what's funny? The O.C. is way better than Gilmore Girls and it's still terrible.

Well I find it funny.

The Gilmore Girls is quite possibly the most irritating, annoying show on television. How anyone could think that putting two whiney hormonal females together in a dramedy about mother-daughter relationships would be comedy gold is far beyond me. Listen to their nails-on-a-chalkboard voices prattle on about boys and their quaint little town and how having tons of money and rich relatives to mooch off of is so hard fills me with an urge to defecate.

If you feel that way, you could always just not watch it. Except when you need a free laxative, of course.

I have four sisters who all watch it. I can't avoid it, and I'm outnumbered when I'm around them. The Geneva convention used to prohibit this kind of treatment.

Sounds like the excuse of someone who secretly likes it to me. I mean, are they tying you down in front of the tv? Do you all live in a one room apartment in which there is no means of escape when they watch it? Sounds suspicious...

I'm SO MAD!

They have to get it annulled or something. There's no way that Lorelai's wedding's not going to be a HUGE deal.

i DID like him being back, actually. during the "previously on" segment at the beginning they showed that clip of him and rory from ages ago, and i was like, ...did i miss something? why are they showing that?

i like marty too but it was so lame that he acted like he didn't know rory. and did anyone else find it ingratiating that marty's girlfriend (i forget her name) calls him "boyfriend?"

plus, from the preview for next week, i wonder what happens between chris and luke that makes them want to go at each other. although, luke already punched christopher in one episode this season, and i don't think it takes much to set him off.

so, i feel for christopher, cause he's absolutely right. lorelai is being obnoxious. but HELLO! SHE NEVER SHOULD HAVE MARRIED HIM. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE STUPID.

rory annoyed me. for once i side with logan. although i want rory and marty to get together, and this could knock the dominos down in that direction, so fine.

i love luke.

I honestly think that Rory's friends (haven't bothered to learn their names yet) overreacted about her knowing Marty...honestly, who cares.

I really think that Lucy needs to hear Rory's side--that it was Marty who started the whole pretending not to know Rory thing. I feel bad for Rory because those are her only two girlfriends, but I agree that she should have told Lucy from the get-go. In private, without Marty or anyone there. So that she wouldn't feel so humiliated. And Rory didn't have to tell her about Marty having a crush on her.

I hope that Luke gets to see his daughter. He wants to be in her life and they have become close over the past couple months. He's not asking for a lot, he only wants to see her once a month... umm, hello? That's not really a lot for him to ask for.

Chris is being dumb. But I don't know exactly what's behind it. Lorelai said she wants to have another kid probably but wants to wait. Chris was being immature. He didn't explain why he didn't want to wait... maybe there's a good reason, I don't know. We'll see how that turns out. He can't expect to bring it up in bed one night and expect to start trying for kids right away. There's still a lot of stuff they need to talk about, including timing. I personally think Lorelai is being the responsible one here. She's not questioning the marriage, she's trying to plan for the next child instead of just having one because that's what they want. And since neither of them have been married before, I think it IS wise to wait a couple years before having kids. Because what if it doesn't work out? They've waited a long time to be together. Maybe they've idealized their relationship and it won't turn out to be what they expected.

And yes. I love Luke. I hope the season ends with him in a good place. Sometimes I wish for it more for him even more than Lorelai and Rory.

I totally agree.

I loved the silent fistfight between Luke and Chris. That's about it, though.
