umm... doesn't your energy decrease exponentially as you cross a barrier through tunnel effect?
(note: i haven't studied josephson effect.)

Actually, you get current (electron flow) with no imposed voltage differential across the junction. To be honest, that was...24 years ago! I've forgotten a lot of the science.
