It is highly unlikely I'm going to make the December 4th deadline. ARGH.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

WHAT? It's December 4th? Crap. For some reason I got it into my head it was December 8th.

I might make December 8th, but doubt I will make December 4th.

The front page says December 8th...

I'm probably going to get mine out hopefully today, if not in the next couple of days.

It's the 8th. Maybe Kelly thinks it's the 4th for the same reason she sets her clocks a little early. :)

Sorry! I really thought it was the 4th! Friday, right? Makes sense to me!

Anyway, I'm glad to be wrong, for those who aren't early-birds.

Just a reminder to whomever has me in the exchange, if you haven't mailed the package yet please wait until next Saturday or so since I'll be away from Dec. 7-14. Thanks!

Nomi, I PMed your person, to make sure they see it. :)

Also, it's about killing me that my person hasn't received theirs yet. I thought it would be there by now and the anticipation is about to do me in!

Finally posting pics of what we got. My fabulous sender crocheted something for each member of our family!

Paul got a hat that is super warm and awesome:
Image

I got a funky blue scarf (that is such a great texture of yarn! Bamboo is cool) that I love.
Boogaloo is "modeling" the sweater with adorable fish buttons (we'll post pics of the live model later!)
Image

And Ginny got what will reveal who the sender is...
Image
a bearded dragon!

Who she may have named "Krab", but we're not sure. She is aware that it is a bearded dragon, and she loves it.

Nomi, I need to find out how you did the stitches for the hat! My crochet skills are woefully limited to single crochet, or double if I'm feeling like it.

I'm totally ogling the scarf! That's so lovely! (If I beg, will you explain the pattern?)

There's a relatively decent chance I'll just barely finish by the 8th; I plan to work on this all day, only slowing down during the Chargers game but I'll work through commercials and halftime, as well as tomorrow. Since I don't drive, getting it sent by the 8th will be a whole other story but I'll see if I can't convince a relative (mom, grandma) to help me out.

Strikethrough that. I'm going to bed after this game. I'll send it next Monday; apologies.

You silly English peoples. When you said "post", my first thought was "Er, you're going to make a post on the forum with a picture before you send it?! How weird!"... took me a minute to realize that you don't /mail/ things, you /post/ things. :P

Mine was not posted at the deadline. Not only is my car's engine blown, but Mr. Dear's car won't start. Sorry, recipient. It WILL be mailed before the weekend.

Brent's got posted today, because he has a wife who is willing to brave the rain to get to the post office. Hooray!

I'm so excited for mine to arrive! I can't wait to see if my person likes what they got. :D

I mailed mine 2 weeks ago today. I'm a little nervous that it hasn't been received yet.

Also, don't stress about the deadline. I mostly put it there so people had a goal and so it didn't get forgotten about.

I FINISHED MINE!

Ahem. Sorry. I was so convinced for the past month that this was the craft that never ends but it does and just did and I don't hate it; hopefully my person feels the same. I'll be sending it to them bright and early on Monday.

What a freaking weight off my shoulders.

Oh, I think Claire got Steph. That's my guess.
