Playing a game of Apples To Apples:

Girl: Well, I'll pick underwear as the most silly.
Me: Wait...so you think underwear is silly?
Girl: Yeah.
Me: So... then you don't wear underwear?
Girl and her roomate: Yeah, sometimes.
Me:. . .

welcome to college

also, welcome to the wonderful world where girl's underwear can be silly in entirely delightful ways.

Also, apparently Bra's can't be dried in the dryer?

Because some girls or a girl on my dorm floor had hanged her bras up in the kitchen, where we were playing.

It depends on the design of the bra.

It's not that a typical bra *can't* be dried in the dryer but they last a lot longer if they are air dried because the dryer can make the elastic weaken and wear out. I have always hung up my bras to dry.

But I can't help saying penises...
No internet dictionary I can find says penises isn't a word (in English, anyway), but I'm not looking very hard. Same for millenniums.

It's not that that ISN'T a word. The issue is more that the dictionary says that MILLENNIA is not a word.

It annoys me when spellcheck doesn't recognize perfectly cromulent words.

I'm going to come out of lurking long enough to re-rail this thread with an awkward story that doesn't involve penises (I'm a descriptivist, dammit, and I'll say it however the hell I want :P ).

I had been seeing a girl (let's call her Dana) for a couple months, but it wasn't really working out, and we both kinda knew it. Eventually she called me and said we should just be friends, in part because I did nothing but complain whenever we talked. I needed to vent a bit, so I started texting my friend Emily about it. Emily asked for an example of some of our conversations, so I started looking back at old text conversations with Dana. At this point (feeling kinda bitter), I realized that Dana complained just as much as I had and hadn't been very nice to me, and I texted this sentiment to Emily.

Which is to say, I tried to send it to Emily. Unfortunately, I was still looking at the texts from Dana, and just hit "Reply". Needless to say, Dana didn't talk to me for some time after that. ><

Normally I wouldnt be this forward, but heck, ill never meet any of you guys.

One morning I was sleeping in my boxers and my sister came in and woke me up, I rolled over and she started talking to me. At one point I noticed her eyes dart down to my boxers. Immediately I knew what was happening. But I didnt do anything about it cause it was too awkward. After she left I looked down. And there it was. Just kind of hanging out outside my boxers. I stuffed it back in and went back to sleep.

Also, Viva la Penises! ? I have to laugh at them coming back...err, popping up in here. I mean, it's hard to keep them out of discussions about awkwardness. That is, we didn't go that long without bringing them up.

Alea, I know it's a long, hard process, but it's about time you grow up.

no pun intended
