Nomination thread - suggest movies for the club here

Postby locke » Tue Oct 10, 2006 8:02 pm

As the title says, here is the place to throw out nominations for the next selection.

You can only nominate one movie per week.

right now anyone can nominate movies this may change as movie club gets rolling.

Voting is complete for the first week, so I'll be unsticking and locking that thread. The two movies nominated there, Layer Cake, and Princess Bride are considered ongoing nominations by Craig and myself, respectively.

Voting will take about three days normally, when we have enough nominations for next week I'll start the next voting thread.

You can keep nominating films that didn't make it, there's no limit on how many times a film can be nominated. But if it's selected no nominating again for at least a year.

I just watched Sympathy for Lady Vengence and I had forgot how good of a filmmaker Park Chan Wook is. The only movie of his vengence trilogy that I have yet to see is Sympathy for Mr. Vengence.

My nomination is Sympathy for Mr. Vengence.

Good nominations. :) I've been wanting to rewatch Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance since the last time I saw it was two or three years ago at its US premiere.

Vertigo, the old Hitchcock movie. I likes it.
