More from me:

Kim: Earmuffs and blinders that block out any annoying classmates (and nothing else).

Bonito: A book version containing unread comics of all the webcomics you read.

Ed: Since Alea gave you a house, I'll give you the furnishings. Awesome furnishings. Like a fridge that makes sandwiches.

Jason: Snow melting boots for the Canadian winter ahead. Wouldn't those be awesome? You'll be all *stomp, stomp* and the snow will just go away all *fwoosh*

Kirsten: Plane tickets for an amazing, stress free honeymoon.

Ed: First, a vacation that requires hopping on a plane and being gone for at least a week. Then, the keys to your very own home.
This would be the best present ever. I have no idea where I would actually go if I did go on vacation though.
May I suggest the warm Southwest? :D
Yes you may suggest the warm Southwest. And it was definitely in my thought process. But since you got plane tickets as well, maybe we could just vacation together or I could just meet you in Chicago.

No lie. I went to lunch today and was going to propose to this nice young lady based strictly on her sandwich making ability. Now I can just marry my fridge!

Or both. Jan gave me tickets to anywhere and Kimmie gave me tickets to Chicago for me and whichever friends I wanted to take -nothing about them being Arizonans.

Then again, one trip with me just may be enough for a lifetime.

So, we thinking US or international? Ireland, Germany, Japan (Tokyo, Okinawa), Brazil, NZ...too many international choices. Alaska, Washington, Colorado are some national places of interest for me.

Bonito: A book version containing unread comics of all the webcomics you read.
Aww, thanks! Just what I wanted! :D

I can't really give out Christmas presents, seeing as I'm Jewish, and we celebrate Hanukkah and all. But I can give out Hanukkah presents:

JL: free video games for a year for you, and free toys for a year for Ginny.

Alea: Since you have a flight to everywhere in the world, and a flight to Chicago, I have nothing left to give you but a teleporter you can take with you wherever you go, and will teleport you to Chicago, home, or anywhere else.

Steph: a perfect crib (just the way you'd like it) for the upcoming baby.

Mich: the ability to play video games again and again, and always feel like you're playing those games for the first time and enjoying them for the first time.

Young Val: getting to meet your favorite authors whenever you feel like it.

Locke: The ability to see movies from up to 10 years in the future, right now, whenever you want.

Oh my gosh, you people, stop giving me awesome gifts. You're making me feel guilty for not ever being able to come up with any!

 That is too cool. Nice timing, too, as I was just telling someone in the past few weeks how much I miss Daria and the gang. This will be somewhat alleviated when they put the series out on DVD (2010!! Finally ).

Thanks, Jan!

Agreed that the international scene has way too many choices. Alaska would be amazing, though I am quite surprised that you would suggest somewhere so cold. Washington and Colorado would be nice as well. And I imagine they would involve some other Pwebbers?

I have little physical tolerance for the cold but I still love it and am willing to put up with more or less depending on how much I want to be in that geographical location.

Plus Alaska has killer whales, polar bears, vampires, and a great view of Russia, you betcha! But I don't think Shannon is there during the school year, so in that case, not for the Pwebbers.

Washington would be the Quinault Rain Forest, Seattle, Fred and Will, etc.

Colorado would be Steph and her boys, the Rockies...is there anything else in Colorado? :P

Hmm, maybe a warm option since I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be warm to begin with. I can't stand Florida and I've been throughout California. Hawaii could be fun but no Pwebbers.

You know where you'd get the most Pweb bang for your buck unfortunately? Toronto. But it's not warm there.

I can't decide. I'm cool with wherever. 8)

Yeah, but your summer is like the last two weeks of July.

ETA: And from a quick look, it appears that Toronto's highest temperature this year was 86 degrees (F).

I'm not even in a particularly "warm" area and our high was 97 degress (F).

We had something like 20 consecutive days with highs over 100 here... It was gross.

Yes, just like we have winter.

But it's Ed's decision; I just want to hang out with the fellow and don't much care where.

Pfft. Our summers are actually hot! Sometimes, anyway. Your "winters" don't qualify as cold.

Thanks you very much. I can't wait for a decent snowfall so that they'll be useful.

Alaska is better in the summer anyway. Russia is much easier to see in daylight, though the vampires prove a little tricky.

*Frosty-style BUMP*

Am I too early? I figured today is the last day I can try to fight the season off with a stick so I may as well give in and embrace it. I haven't thought of any but it can't hurt to think it over, so in the meantime, post if you have some ideas. :)
Hey, me of last year; I was thinking that exact same thing today.

*snuggles it and goes to get it a Pingu backpack!*

To Alea I give a nice little one-bedroom apartment in Chicago.

To Kirsten I give the Grover toque I saw the other day.

I also give one of those to Steph, because it has a perfect big squishy nose.

To Nomi I give a spotless house and a perfectly cooked dinner waiting for her upon her return.

To Kelly I give a shiny new BlendTec blender. For all those homemade goodies, you need something that can take it. Will it blend?

To Ali and Brent I give a bottle of the best bourbon money can buy. (whatever that may be)

To Steph I give a trustworthy and dependable babysitter so you can take an occasional day off from your otherwise 24/7 career if you want to.

To Kimmie I give a new best friend for your fiancé to replace the current crappy one. Your fiancé won't even know the difference. This one will be just as awesome as the other one, except he'd also be if not awesome then at least acceptable to you as well.

To Alea I give a guy who doesn't suck and won't disappoint or abandon you.

To the previous guys I give the wisdom to not take that the wrong way. It only tangentially concerns you.

awww, thanks, my dear. It's number one on the wish list. <3

Ouch, Josh, you really just say what's on your mind, don't you?

The middle thing, disappointing me, isn't possible and to some degree, neither is the first but the last certainly is, so thank you for wishing that for me. Kind of loaded language there, though, bud. *grin*

If I'm ever given a long enough stretch of time, because I really think about these things, I'll finally get myself back in here.

I really love this thread and I usually try to put a good amount of effort into it every year, but I just don't have the energy this year. Sorry, guys.

So... to everyone: A Hug, A Cookie of your choice and a promise to never abandon pweb like Ami did.

And to all who joined in the past year: A lolly and a headpat.
