In case you didn't read the title of the thread, induce anything about me due to its location, or check my post count before reading this, I'm new here. So...hi.
One of my first orders of business was to do a search on the forum for Homeworld. Didn't find what I was looking for. I did see a video games thread, but didn't see anything computer-specific in it. So I want to ask: does anyone else play Homeworld, the closest thing I'm aware of to the simulator in Ender's Game? (For those who don't know and are too lazy to google, it's a computer real-time strategy game about space combat with a three-dimensional game engine. The original Homeworld came out a long time ago, when I was a wee lad, and Homeworld 2 has come out more recently. It's a great game, but has never been my favorite strategy game because I could never get all that many of my friends into it to play with me).
Other than that...questions to come as I think of them . I'm 21 and a computer science student. The first book from the series I read was Ender's Game, which occurred when I was 12 at a visual basic programming summer camp, mostly between the hours of 10 (when we were sent to the dorms) and 3 am (when I figured I should stop reading and get sleep for the next day). I think that information probably tells you all you really need to know about my relationship with the series since.
I believe I had seen mentions to this and/or other forums in some of the books earlier on, but until last week, when I read Ender in Exile for the first time, I hadn't really put too much thought into it. In the afterword to that book OSC mentioned this forum, so I figured I'd look into it. Today was the first day I've had internet access since reading the book, and I've been looking over the forums for a couple hours. I registered at lunch in an airport in Los Angeles on a complementary wifi connection.
Anyhow, looking forward to chatting with you all. Limeade is better than lemonade, but since I just turned 21 really my only request is that it be spiked.

Nope, I am! I'm doing their Co-op summer program with a company in Dallas, mostly programming in .NET VB.You aren't doing SMU Lyle Engineering, are you? Because they sent me a shirt!
Although it wasn't "Lyle" Engineering when I started. Still getting used to that.
What did they send you a shirt for?
