Complete Randomness
Because some things just don't belong in Bob, aren't confessions, and aren't aimed anonymously at anyone.
Also because randomness can extend beyond aliens (of the illegal and extraterrestrial varieties).

Oh, I can't hula hoop anymore.

I was really tempted to try the xkcd line, but I figured no one would get it.
It has been far too long since I tried my hula hoop. I don't even know if it's still around. I really miss jump roping too. I was never outrageously skilled, but it was fun.
And while I'm reliving childhood... I had an amazing teddy bear once that I loved. I gave it away to some charity thinking the poor kid that got it would appreciate the sentimental value. Silly me.

I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

um, I just watched Real Genius (for the first time on dvd! and in widescreen, yay!) and the writer of this went on to direct Surf Ninjas. lol. which is waiting for me from netflix back in CA
Real Genius is so completely awesome. as a kid that LOVED this movie, I'd always secretly hoped it was R on home video (having only seen it on endless loop on comedy central) and that we got to see Michelle Meyrink (she plays Jordon) naked. unfortunately that is not the case, but fortunately the director was smart enough to know that such a scene was completely inappropriate for the movie, and even though it's not a great performance, she still is one of the most amazing nerd girls in a movie ever.
I think it's a bit embarrassing how big this movie appealed to me. the thought of being plucked out of high school into the perfectly incredibly amazing environment of cal tech, given immediate authority and clout and getting to know girls that were as super smart (if not more so) and cute and funny and charming (and into fourteen year old geeky guys) was sort of a conglomeration of all a nerd boy could ask from a movie that wasn't star wars.

Making a baby play bouncy games and handing her over to someone else is much like shaking up a can of pop/soda/coke/carbonated beverage and handing it over to someone.

Fall is the best season. I'm so happy it's fall! The weather is perfect, the food is amazing, there are so many fun things to do, including the super-cool holiday that is Halloween. I love fall!!
