Crushing on Fictional Characters
Are there any characters in books/tv shows/movies that just make you melt like a popsicle on the 4th of July?
I am not referring to the actor/actress that portrays them, if it involves tv or movies; I mean the actual character.
I ask because I've started watching Scrubs and I'm developing a small crush on Dr. Cox. I also still have a crush on Peter Wiggin (11 years for that one...I think I need help), but that just goes without saying.
Share, please, so I don't feel so freakish.

Darcy. Lake scene. Surely I'm not alone.
Also, every Zach Braff character ever created. I mean the characters, I just mean, well, all of them.
And in the V Mars vein, since someone mentioned it... if Logan Echols would tumble into my lap tomorrow, I just don't think I would need anything else as long as I lived.
Oh, and Peter Patrelli.
(PS, if we're talking books, it's a much different list.)

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Yes and Yes. Mr. Darcy (both in book and Colin Firth version), Dr. Dorian (the earlier years)... mmm.Darcy. Lake scene. Surely I'm not alone.

There are more, I'm sure, but I can't think of them right now.

I'm a girl and I'm completely heterosexual but I concur. I have to repeatedly explain to my husband that girls can find other girls attractive in a non-sexual way. I guess my love of birkenstocks doesn't help my cause. Two words: Veronica Mars.
Also, Mr. Knightly in Emma (mostly because of Jeremy Northam's portrayal).

Kaylee, from Firefly/Serenity.
There are probably others, but for some reason she's the only one who comes to mind right now.
*edit*
Oh, I also kinda like San, the title character from Princess Mononoke, although I imagine that she probably smells like wolves, and doesn't bathe very often. But there's something about her fierce but not b*tchy personality that I like.
And Alea, didn't you also have a thing for the Geiko lizard, or am I thinking of someone else?

Elliot from Scrubs, though that might just be because Sarah Chalke is gorgeous.
Kara "Starbuck" Thrace from Battlestar Galactica, though, this one might just be love for the character from a literary/dramatic perspective.

Pretty much any of Zach Braff's characters. I just rewatched Garden State this morning and realized how much I like his character towards the end of the movie.
I am always watching Scrubs (I have the six seasons that are out) and I adore J.D.

They just sell them in the shops. The cookie cutter kit was 99p. I'm not the only one with a thing for the Doctor - there was a minor debate over who got his head, and then we all paused when we realised someone was going to get his crotch. It was comical.Dalek cookie cutters?!?!?! I WANT SOME!!! And how did you get the Tardis cake?

I'll add:
Benton Fraiser (Due South)
Sam Vimes (Discworld)
Jamie Fraser (Outlander)
Of course, all the things I love best about them are the exact things that would make for a terrible match.

Brainy specs!
Okay, in non-Doctor news, I note that a lot of folks have a thing for Gilbert Blythe.

That's because Gilbert Blythe is, well, HOTT.
That's right. Two "T" hott.
Pretty well everyone from Firefly, male and female, except Wash, who I like in a "we could be siblings" kind of way. Particularly Mal.

More as they come to me. The obscure ones are harder to remember off the top of my head.
Alphonse Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Vincent (Beauty and the Beast [TV])
Wolf (The 10th Kingdom)
Father Dietrich (Eifelheim) - if he weren't a priest, anyway

Well, either way is pretty weird since he's supposed to be, what, 14? (The ages in Japanese film/tv baffle me...) It's his character I like. If we were going for physical aspects only, I would have said Ed.
