Bachelor of Science in English?? How does that work?
As for me... I have a BA in English (got that almost 5 years ago now) and I've thought about getting a Masters in Library and Information Science eventually. Likely, I'd have to do it fairly slowly, either by correspondence or if we move to a place that offers it.

Candidate for PhD Medieval Studies (history of disability)
Could get a postdoc if I don't get a job or something but that is too far away to worry about. Eventually I'll have to get a job but that doesn't always preclude more education.

I'm still in HS, and I see myself going to the university- at least for a degree in Computer Engineering. Then I'll be off in search of a job, or start my own company if I desire to become rich. (Or both)Open question to anyone:
What's your highest level of education and do you see yourself getting more? (for those still in HS - are you going to University?)
Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down?

Who leaves Atlantis off the maps? Who keeps the Martians under wraps?

Who robs cavefish of their sight? Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do, we do!

Despite having threatened several times to drop out or change my major, I'm still sitting in Moorhead, working towards a BS in Graphic Communications. If I can fit in enough classes without getting myself stuck here for too much longer, I'll throw in an English Writing minor.

I currently have a BS in computer science.
I would love to go back for Accounting(although I'm not sure love and accounting should be in the sentance). I also have a minor in Buisness Admin
Kim,
I keep reading that as DMV. I am glad you aren't quitting until you get your Department of Motor Vehicles. But seriously, what's a DVM?

My highest level of education is a Master's degree in Biology (Botany). I'd like to go back for a second Master's (an MSN, specifically) or possibly a PhD.Open question to anyone:

I'm wondering that as well...Bachelor of Science in English?? How does that work?
Anyway, I have a B.Sc. in biological chemistry, and a B.Ed (bachelor of education). I have no specific plans for anything else in the future, other than an upgrade for my teacher qualification in the next few years so I can advance to the highest pay category.

I was home schooled from 4th grade all the way through getting my GED. I spent the last year and a half just.. feeling things out. Being out of school so long, it was kind of difficult for me to re-adjust to being so busy and having so much to do. The first two semesters (Fall 06, Spring 07) I only did one class a semester at the local Community College (though, they dropped community and now it's just a Jr College). Fall 07 I went full time, doing 4 classes for 13 credits. This semester I did nothing, opting to not go so as to help my mother when she was going through the worst of her cancer treatments.
I was concerned about where I was going, so I sat down and figured out exactly what I needed to do what. In the end I figured out that I could graduate with my Associates of Applied Science in Computer and Information Technology in two years if I pull three semesters of about 15 credits a semester. Beyond that, I have no frickin clue what I want to do. Some people tell me I should go on to get my Bachelors or I could just go on to find an internship somewhere and work my way up that way. It's kind of depressing to think that if I did go to get my Bachelors after my AAS I would be 22 my Freshman year... probably wouldn't graduate until I'm 26 or 27. Just seems like such a long ways to go before I'd really go out and get a job somewhere.

I signed up here at Pweb days after it was created; I was a friend of Dave's and he mentioned it. I think completely forgot about it for a year or so.
Ender's Game was assigned reading in my seventh grade class. It was all downhill (uphill?) from there.
---
I don't really have a bedtime. Somewhere around midnight. I usually get up around 7am, unless I have to be in the OR.
---
MS, Medical Physics. I was just getting my feet wet with a PhD but it didn't make sense economically to continue it. I may someday work on it again, but probably not.

That's way cool. There is a Doctorate of Medical Physics (DMP) that is currently under development. If that catches on, I may snag one of those; it seems more relevant to my field than a PhD.Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.I currently have a BS in computer science.

Working towards a B.Sc. in Physics, or a B.A. in Physics (Astronomy); that decision's actually probably going to be made this weekend. If I can't find a place in an observatory or somewhere else equally interesting after my Bachelor's, it'll probably be straight into Grad School. Ideally, though, I'd like to find a placement that would let me work and go to Grad School simultaneously.

The difference is in the non-major courses. The B.Sc. program requires more classes within the major, the BA requires more outside (like foreign language). I took four years of Spanish in high school and felt no compelling reason to spend another two years learning the language, so I opted for the B.Sc. That's pretty much the difference. The BA requires foreign languages and more fine arts, the B.Sc. requires more in-major classes.Bachelor of Science in English?? How does that work?
I also have a Political Science minor and a Liberal Studies minor (philosophy, religion, etc.) Why? Because it looks good on a transcript. Nevermind the fact that everything overlaps and it's a hell of a lot less work than it sounds like.

I honestly did not know that was a major.MS, Medical Physics.
BS in CS, probably in about a year. I will not continue for a few reasons, the largest of which is probably that nearly all formal education I've had in the field is useless, and I can count the number of competent instructors I've had on one hand.
I've kinda considered degrees (or at least minors) in music performance or east asian studies, but it looks like they will remain mere hobbies. And sometimes I wish I had gone EE/CE...

I've mentioned this once before, I think, though I can't recall the thread. Keyboard percussion. I'd probably go into marimba specifically.... sigh, that would be nice. Marimba music is just awesome (case in point: Steve motherf'ing Reich). What instrument(s) do you play? If that's what is meant by music performance, that is...
Even though I have no academic interest in physics, biology, or any medical science? Most people haven't heard of it. You should consider it, actually.

I don't think I've ever felt so little before, sitting here looking at everyone's success in careers they enjoy and whatnot. Ahahahah.
I mean, I stopped college, not knowing what I want anymore, then I spent tiem travelling, great stories there, with tons of bad luck, now I'm back home, at 20, trying to figure out what I want in my life career wise.
And then I get back on here after a year, and now I see fellow forum posters careers. I envy all of your successes.
:B
Someone make me succesful.

Sometimes it seems my failure is the equivelant of all this success.
And at least I'm not the only one as well.
But one day when I'm king of the Earth.
I'll be sure to come back here and brag in this thread.
