Keeper of Dreams: Short Story Collection

Postby Luet » Tue Sep 04, 2007 3:21 pm

Due out in April 2008, it will contain all short stories since Maps in a Mirror (which I love).

No one else is excited about this? I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up too much but Maps is one of my most prized book possessions ever (the autographed hc that I don't read to protect it and the pb that I do read), so I'm hoping the follow-up comes close to being as good.

I am too. The only problem is that I have so little time to read that it's hard to get excited about any sort of book anymore... But this sounds cool.

I wonder if it will have any of the Ender stories?

Yeah, I really enjoyed Maps, but I'd just have more to say after it comes out, probably.

Has anyone read any of the stories in Keeper?

Hmm, I don't see any of the Ender stories that have been in IGMS on the list. I've read a few of them but not many. I think they must be ones that have appeared in other anthologies for the most part.

Yeah, actually all the ender stories are going to be anthologized by TOR. A few stories from the first four issues of IGMS are going to be in it, including those, the cover stories, and a few from a select few names. I'm not on the list, but I certainly can't blame them.

Hmm, I'll probably buy this one. I am ashamed to admit that I haven't finished Maps though. Maybe that should be a priority over winter break. :)

Isn't "Keeper of Dreams" something from Goodkind's series? It sounds so familiar.

For shame! Maps is my "desert island" book!
