Steph's News

Postby steph » Wed Sep 27, 2006 9:13 am

If Dave can have a news thread, I can too!

Brian and I are closing on our first house tomorrow! It's closer to Denver, where Brian works, and we're getting it for a really great price. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms. We're way excited! And because of all the kids, our new ward has 3 nurseries, so Tyler will have lots and lots of friends! YAY!

Yay! It's always exciting to get a new house, especially your first one, I'm sure!

It was so great going from apartments to a house. We loved it, but it is more work. When something breaks down, you are the landlord. But it is worth it.

Is your yard fenced?

How old is Tyler?

Thanks, guys!

The yard is not fenced yet, but we have a patio that is completely inclosed in railing and the rails are close enough together that Tyler can't fit his head through.

Tyler is 14 months. Counting down the 4 more months til nursery!

That's so wonderful, Steph! I know you've been trying for this for a long time, I'm so thrilled it's all finally working out! Congratulations!

congratulations, steph! that's wonderful!
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Those last four months are the hardest. I call them "playing toddler hookie" because whoever is in charge of the baby doesn't really get to go to class.

Well, we moved in yesterday. I haven't been around the last few days because they shut off our service early at our old house, and we've only just set up the computer here.

So anyways, it feels weird to me. I think I should be more excited. It has been a long week, trying to get ready to move and all. I'm so drained physically and emotionally. I don't think I'll feel right until I get all my boxes unpacked, all my stuff out, things that make it *my* home.

But besides that, it is nice! I'm going to have a place for all my stuff, including a crawl space for all of Tyler's old stuff. Yay.

So yeah. That's about it right now. We're here. And we're here.

Congratulations! Just remember to rest, too. :)

I'll be stopping in Denver on Saturday between flights, but only for 56 minutes. I doubt that's enough time to fit a meeting in but I'll think of you while I'm there.

Congrats, steph! If I end up in Denver over Christmas we should get together.
