I'd rather visit in the spring. I was mostly joking about the movie, though that would be pretty cool.

Hey Buckshot, my dad and I went to the ShrinersFest Airshow yesterday. No boxcars, though, it was all military and stunt planes.

Cool! Wish I was there too! Someday I would love to see one of the Boxcars be invited to one of the big shows.

A crippling sense of romantic inadequacy. Brings the feels of hanging out here in high school rushing right back.

Re: Random things that remind you of PWEB or people here
So I was in AVE (accappella group) today and Charlotte, a member of our student counsel asked it I was going to the dance, I told her no, it's not really my scene, and she said she'd do anything to get me to come so I challenged her to read the entire Enders Shadow Series, and talk to me when she finished and I'd go. We'll see if I receive an email before tomorrow night... On one hand, it would be a bit crazy... on the other, so is she (and so am I but that's a bit beside the point).

Re: Random things that remind you of PWEB or people here
So, I was searching for an old question that has bugged me for years. The origin of the quote "What does it do? Nothing, that's the beauty of it, it doesn't do anything!"
I was hoping that in the 5 or 6 years it's been since I looked for that quote, someone had found the answer. Instead I discovered (or was reminded) that the first reference to that quote or someone looking for the origin was a forum post in 2003 by a user ssywak.
Steve! I had to come here right away. https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-origi ... o-anything
Oh and hello pweb.

Re: Random things that remind you of PWEB or people here
An old friend of mine messaged me out of the blue tonight. He and I had been quite close, and he was my right hand man on some community projects. He was there to take over when I needed a break in leading, was there to center me when I lost my way, and so on. He'd had some personal things going on in his life and he left the projects and we lost connection for the last 2 years or so, just occasionally running into each other. He messaged me to apologize, basically, for abandoning me when I needed him. Kind of an emotional moment, but the only thing I could think to say was "Salaam, Alai." I told him that any wrongs he felt on his conscience were forgiven, I didn't blame him. Told him why I used that reference (he hadn't read the books). Anyway, obviously a big reminder.

This just popped into my youtube feed. I was going to post it on facebook, but figured instead of tagging half my friends list, I could just put it here instead.

That's exciting! Where are you moving to? We bought a new house (well, new to us, the house is actually 101 years old) a couple years ago and I got to pack up all of my books too. You don't realize how many you have until you have to pack, load, unload, and unpack them.Just packed all my books in storage to get ready for moving.

Courtney and I are closing on a house on Friday (fingers crossed nothing goes horrifyingly wrong between now and then). It will be our 4th move in 5 years (and my 5th move in 7 years), but we anticipate having this one for a whileThat's exciting! Where are you moving to?
