This is the baklava recipe I used and it turned out really well. It's just time consuming to assemble.

You've never had (or heard of) baklava?! Oh my. I've even made it from scratch. So good.
So...add it to the list of things to try?

It's one of my favorite, non-chocolate, desserts. Which might not sound like much but when it comes it me and desserts, it really is!

I am thankful for:

My job. I came home tonight stressed from learning new things, crying from a HORRIBLE head ache, and grumpier then ever but i'm still so, SO thankful for my job. This stress is nothing compared to my last job.

My Mister who calmed me down, got me dinner, and pretty much cleaned up my mess of a self.

I just want to say "Thank You" to whomever invented pie! And pie can work miracles, one time I rebuilt a D6 cats engine and it would not run, I messed around a lit pulled out all my magic tricks still nothing then Julie brought me some ice tea and a big slice of huckleberry pie ( still warm I can still nearly taste it) I wolfed it down kissed the lady and started the pony motor threw the starting clutch and with a mighty roar and a mondo smoke cloud she fired up and ran better than new. Never under estimate the power of pie.

I found that p4a post I posted last year, and that its an entire year later and I didn't forget about this place. Also that I have a new choir! Plus that YWCP (the aforementioned choir, has a retreat in just over a month :)

...

additionally I will be very thankful if I pass my chinese exam tomorrow...

The history of this place and all the different relationships it has created is pretty cool. :)

As for the glory days of the board, they vary depending on who you ask but I think it's safe to say you're right about them having passed. BUT. Welcome to Pweb, stick around and get to know the small group that is here, and maybe you'll make some lifelong friends, too. The more you share and the more you try to interact, the better chance you'll have and I would sure like for you to find a place here.

Well I'm thankful for that ;)

Seriously though I do intend to stick around. :)

Nobody I know likes the Enderverse anywhere near as much as I do so I have no-one to talk to about it.

Today I'm thankful that I only have 2 class sessions left to sit in on this semester, because it has been the most exhausting semester I've had to date.

(Slightly less thankful I still have a 20 page research paper to write.)

My mom is coming to visit in a week! Just for a couple of days. I talked her into coming up for her sister's fiftieth anniversary. I usually only see her during their big summer trip! It's so awesome.

I'm thankfull that our #3 girl Sarah got her first offical teaching job teaching 4th grade in a local school. We are damn proud of her in fact but she just came in crying after she just figured how much she will take home per month. We warned her all the way, it's damn sad what we pay teachers here in Washington, but of course Daddy will help out.
