Re: Those Personal Triumphs No One Else Will Ever Understand
Well done Starlooker! Don't turn it into a criticism, it's difficult to quickly, concisely, and effectively get a point accross, I feel like there are very few people who can do it well. So good job!
I actually have a backlog of books I want to read! (I wasn't a reader at all until about 2 years ago, had read scattered books (EG obviously) and just kept rereading those because I knew I liked them so why waste time on finding books and maybe not liking them? But I decided I wanted to become a reader, so I started by "forcing myself" to read the rest of the EG series. a week in and I couldn't put them down and I haven't been without a book since and have read more books in the last 6 months than I had in my first 22 years combined... I never thought I'd be the person with a backlog and "not having enough time to read." I am now a reader, mission accomplished)

and by 22 I mean 23, apparently while I've become a reader, my math still sucks...I should know how old I am huh? Incase anyone else is struggling with this, I double checked it, 23+2=25, 22+2 is only 24. ::smacks head like an idiot::

People will understand this but... I passed my finals! I am a college graduate! Once all my grades come through, that is.
I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

Congratulations!People will understand this but... I passed my finals! I am a college graduate! Once all my grades come through, that is.
And speaking of finals, my triumph comes from the opposite end:
84 final exams graded in 48 hours, a total of nearly 1000 pages marked, tallied, and recorded in three marathon sessions. I don't know what got into me, but I've never had that kind of focus and stamina when it comes to marking before.

lol.
It wasn't that bad. It actually felt kind of exhilarating to go on a marking rampage and get it all finished that fast. Having to do report card comments is actually what I'm dreading.

Re: Those Personal Triumphs No One Else Will Ever Understand
Have used a fourth of my LSAT materials. Over the course of 7 full practice tests(Other 3 not taken fully and/or under testing conditions), I've gone from the 152-155 score range to the 157-161 range. From 62 to 72(score for certain amount correct varies by tests) Last 5 are in the 158-161(72, 70, 67, 71, 67) range.
However, haven't established consistency among my scores -- with them fluctuating within the ranges. On some tests I make gains in certain sections while others go down.
Bests sections are only missing 4 of 27 in Reading Comprehension; only missing 6 of 25 on an arguments section; only missing 3 of 24 on an arguments section; and only missing 8 of 24 in Logic Games. I just wish I could do that all in the same test(79 would be 162-165 range!)! And that my Logic Games Bible would come in.
Though I've made headway, still haven't consistently been able to to complete all the problems in Arguments and Logic Game sections without guessing. Need to find that perfect balance between speed and accuracy. And I need to be consistent with my scores.
Overall, I'm impatient with my progress, but I think I'm doing good. Have stayed true to my goals and put in about 30 hours worth of test taking, who knows how many hours of review, explanations, inventory, etc. I don't care how long it takes, I'll coax out that 170.
Guess you could say I'm chasing the wind and catching wisps of its name

Re: Those Personal Triumphs No One Else Will Ever Understand
We are having people over on Saturday! I have major anxiety about company coming over, for some reason. But I'm doing it. For the third time (?) since we moved into our house 1.5 years ago.
Today I did the laundry, picked up all around the house and did a thorough bathroom cleaning. Go me!

Good for you! I hope the first one works for you. If not, keep trying. Sometimes, it takes a few to find the right one.

Yeah man, good job! I know that first convo with a dr is hard and awkward and all that but it's worth it. and like Luet said, don't be discouraged if the first medication isn't the right now, it took me 2 or 3 tries to find one that was good for me, proud of you man

Unlike my library life in AZ, here, for some reason, I am crazy organized -perhaps due to necessity, having fewer work hours. As in, I've completed quite a few things with due dates midway into 2014. Quite a few of the things I haven't finished only remain unfinished because I rely on others for parts and/or information.

Got in a nine mile walk this weekend (those used to be more common...not so much the past 9 or so months, at least).
Found an amazing pair of shelves at Goodwill to put in the kitchen. I never find good things in Goodwill, mostly due to a lack of patience in stores.
I'm finally above a 70% on ARCs read and reviewed to books requested/given. I was pretty lucky to get above a 40% for the two or so years I've been getting them.

Re: Those Personal Triumphs No One Else Will Ever Understand
I got the Primary Program done on time!
I am in the leadership of the children's organization (Primary) of our local congregation (ward) at church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). Every year, the primary in every ward does a presentation for the whole congregation during the main worship service (sacrament meeting). It's my job to write the program. We have 100ish kids (ages 3-11) in our ward, so I have to write lines for all of them, plus fit in the 8-9 songs that the kids have been working on this year and it all has to flow, teach, explain and fit into a 45-min time slot. The program is on September 22 in our ward, so I had to get the script written by yesterday to submit to the Bishop for approval. And I did it. Whew!

Just spent the past hour or so cleaning up all my random files on my work computer. Making organized folders and getting everything in it's appropriate place. It feels so good to open "My Documents" and see nice, neat, organized, alphabetized folders with no random things just cluttering it up!

I am AWESOME!
Okay, actually I'm not awesome. I mean, I AM, but. Someone ELSE is awesome and I am so proud of them, and I had a hand in their letting their awesomeness show and that makes me very, very happy and proud-like.

In the space of two weeks, I have gone from not running at all in four years to barely making it .6 miles to 1.3 miles and feeling strong enough to keep going, but not wanting to push too hard too fast.
I also have three pages of my comic roughly sketched out and dialogue for a bit more.
