Steam Sales.

I got... a lot.

And they're still happening.
Valve now has all of my money.

ETA: I totaled up my purchases, and I guess I only spent $70 on the sale.

A highchair on freecycle! It's big and needs cleaning, but you can't beat the price.

Now we just need a baby cage! (AKA, playpen.)
There's another home somewhere,
There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...

A whole bunch of groceries for 75% off. Into the freezer, and you'd never know the difference!

I love that you are using the phrase "baby cage", m'dear!

Today I timed it just right to get to the market as they were marking down all the end-of-day produce. I got: three (medium) bags of apricots, a bag of plums, bag of tomatoes, half a cucumber, bag of pears, bag of apples, a purple broccoli, two fennel bulbs, a small bag of green beans, a bunch (about 8) of carrots, a red onion, and a 2l bottle of some sort of Polish tropical-flavoured pop to mix rum into (farewell party for friends happening tonight).

I'm feeling good today.

At least it wasn't tropical, polish-flavored pop!

I wouldn't call it a bargain or a steal, but how freaking cool is that shirt? Peanuts and the Beatles?!? It is my new favorite shirt and it will probably be at least a week until I wear it.

That is a really cool shirt! I love pop culture mashups so much.

In fact, that reminds me, my new favorite shirt is the one I got at PAX that has this on it:

Sweet! I need to get my hands on a Zelda shirt. I haven't really found one that I like enough. But I would definitely rock that one.

After all the online prices I saw, it felt like a deal to get a pair of fleece-lined tights (with feet) for $4.99. I've tried them on and they are thick but look nice, so I'm hoping they're as warm outdoors as they seem to be indoors. I got them so I could semi-dress up for Les Mis next Saturday. 9 days to go!

I am so excited for you to see Les Mis. It is so incredibly moving and beautiful and powerful and all of that. So excited for you!!

Where did you find the tights for that price?

Not an amazingly awesome deal, but ThinkGeek has free shipping today.

This whole week has been bad on my wallet. I finally got new (amazing) pillows and a comforter (all of it for under $45), a new pair of boots, a couple of new t-shirts (MLP:FIM and Adventure Time), a new set of ear buds (MLP), and ordered my new phone (which won't actually ship until the end of December).

I've been needing the pillows/bedding, boots, and ear buds for a while now. Feels good to get them way over half off : )

I saved $60 on Christmas cards! I combined 40% Cyber Monday deals with a free shipping code, and an extra 20% off code, and got 50 Christmas cards with envelopes for $48! SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN LAST YEAR!

well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I have one of these:

But the Wi-Fi card doesn't work.

So I called HP and tried to get a replacement card (that I could swap out myself).

No dice.

So, they're sending me one of these, instead:

...free of charge.

Merry Christmas, me, eh?

(let me know if any of you needs any parts from an HP 309a wireless all-in-one printer/copier/fax. HP wants me to send them back the central husk of the printer, but not any of the "detachable" parts)

I have NEVER heard of these... probably because I live in so cal, but I'm just super surprised.

I'm probably the biggest tightwad ever when it comes to grocery shopping but I saw a sale on large eggs for 89 cents/dozen and I got so excited it was under a dollar, I bought three. It's normally well over $1.50/dozen on a good day, usually at or over $2/dozen.

That is a good deal! The kind of deal you normally see around Easter. I'm buying eggs like crazy lately. I use 16 eggs for each double batch of pandoro and I normally do 2 or 3 double batches a week at Christmas time. I'd love eggs that cheap!

We picked up a Kindle Fire $20 off at Best Buy on a 3-day sale they were having last weekend. Santa is bringing it for the family and the kids are going to be so excited!

I'm getting a 51" 1080p plasma TV for $600, at least $50 cheaper than I could find that model anywhere else. Ordered it online at Best Buy for in-store pickup since everywhere was sold out locally. It's a Samsung PN51E530.

Image

I'm also getting a new queen size bed. Doctor's Choice plush mattress and box springs from Denver Mattress for $550. This bed from Value City for $300, $100 cheaper than its listed price.
