I don't think it works that way. The point of experimentation is not the end result, but the process of getting there (imho)

The point is to make purgatory cake. duh.
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

No, really nerdy was traveling to Utah for Endercon and having a blast and not being the least bit ashamed to tell people about it to this day. :P
*gasp* There's an Endercon?!?!?! About Ender? Why was I not informed of this earlier?

Happened once I think. July '02. From what I hear, there are no plans for another.

Perhaps there should be an unofficial one. Or a Pwebcon.

Man has that been tried so many times...

Actually, it might work better now that some members are a bit older. As I recall, there was trouble with a bunch of 16-17 year olds getting permission to go across the country and meet up with people they knew online.

Hmm....

Assuming locations and schedules were ideal, would many people be interested?

There is lots of interest, but it is hard to find a place that will maximize people. People don't seem to want to plan trips around things "maybe" happening, which if it happened someone would have to guarantee an event of sorts.

An evening or weekend of sightseeing, hiking, or camping would be best because it would be cheapest.

As for location, didn't there used to be a pweb map?

Make it in NYC or Toronto. Both locations with several PWebbers who already live there, with others in the area, and there's other s*** to do in the city.

That's why we pick a nice, central location like Wyoming. :stoned:

I nominate Toronto. Lots of us around, plenty of fun things to do.

I've been to Ohio. It's a depressing place.

Illinois is a good average central place. There's always a lot of drinking around Champaign and Urbana, so you could always go drinking, or go watch the drunk people. I tell you, it is fun to watch.

And hey, I'm (currently) in Virginia, so this counts as an unbiased vote, right? Right?

:(

i like ohio. i live near the city, lots to do and lots of people. and only a 20 minutes drive to countryside!

plus, columbus has a trader joe's. i think that automatically ups its appeal. ;)
