Right now most of us walk around in not-quite-winter coats, hats, scarves, gloves, and light boots. It's really not that bad here right now. Well above freezing, where I am. If I go out today, I'll likely skip the hat and scarf.

Speaking of reading while traveling: I let my step-dad drive me to and from my University so I can read on my way to school. It's like a 10-30 minute drive (depending on traffic) which is a pretty good chance to read.
