Now, it's just a timing issue, which is why we'll do some pull-ups transition to get used to planning for the time to pull pants down and STILL make it in the potty before the full on move to panties.
She's now a pro at always panty-wearing-and-appropriately-removing-them for #1 and #2 while in the house. Didn't need the pull-ups at all, at least for inside the house. (Pull-ups will probably be great for when want to have her to have the option of using the potty while we're out and about, etc).

Next step is having pants on TOP of panties while in the house. Extra layer! Her control has been great, at times announcing upstairs she has to go, going at a leisurely pace down the stairs, dropping trou, and then doing her business. I have high hopes for my girl!

Thumbs up: Atticus's system has FINALLY matured enough for only one poopy diaper per day.

Thumbs down: That one diaper is always a blowout.

Thumbs up: Since I can predict this, I can just leave him in pajamas or a onesie I don't care about till after his daily constitutional, and then put him in a cute outfit.

Thumbs up: If his time of day stays the same, I won't have to worry much about him having a blowout during his baptism or on his baptism outfit!

Prep starts tomorrow for a colonoscopy on Friday. I've already been taking a double dose of Miralax for a few days and I've gone a half dozen times so far today. The next 36 hours will be most unpleasant.
I don't think I ever posted the results of this but I had four polyps removed, the largest of which was 8mm. They turned out to be sessile serrated polyps which are a type of pre-cancerous, so I'm very glad I had such an early colonoscopy done! Although now I have to get one again in two years. :(

It's good that you caught it early, though, Nom! That's some serious stuff. Hopefully they got 'em all and you're clear from here on out! (A few millimeters are a lot better than a few feet of your colon!)

Yeah, I have a strong family history of colon cancer, so that's why they had me get my first one done at 35. I'm very glad!

Yay for catching things early!

On a slightly related note, I saw "Things That I'm Thankful For" when I logged in and was like "Due to having problems in the past, I try to be thankful whenever I poop and it's easy and satisfying," but it really belongs in this thread more. Plus it's a weird thought.

Atticus went 3.5 days with no poopers this week, which was making me really nervous. So, this morning when I heard grunting and other assorted hopeful noises, I found myself cheering him on with genuine excitement. "Push it out, push it out, waaay out!" and "You can do it, put your back into it!"

How has parenthood changed me? That's how.

Atticus went 3.5 days with no poopers this week,
This was par for the course with me when I was younger. I learned to "suck it back up the tube" on a couple long trips, and began doing that automatically when playing or doing anything I thought was interesting/fun, and putting it off until it was noticeably uncomfortable. Unfortunately my habits haven't changed much since then.

which was making me really nervous.
Fun fact: it is normal for exclusively breastfed babies to go anywhere between pooping multiple times a day to once every 10 days.

Yeah, but up till this week it was normal for him to go twice a day. He'd never even missed one day. There's a difference in "what's generally normal" vs. "normal for this individual."

YUCKIEST YUCK OF ALL THE YUCKIES.

Well, he's good and cleared out now.

That was horrifying. I have so much pity in my heart for parents of babies that don't poop for ten days.

I am never eating mustard again.

So much poop. All over my baby. Including his foot. That he kept trying to put in his mouth while I cleaned him.

I think Operation Banana may be starting to work. Not sure about it helping her sleep, since she's been biting everything in sight regardless, so it might be teeth waking her rather than hunger. But evidence at the other end points to improvement.

My house has no toilet paper, and I can't go shopping for 2 more days. Paper napkins suck.

This is just as good a place as any to post this...

My IBS has been really, really bad the last few weeks. Some days I can barely leave the house or have to be really close to a bathroom. The few days that I do work, I have to take an Immodium the night before. I'm getting kind of desperate, so I'm trying something called the low FODMAP diet. Part of which includes gluten and mostly dairy free. Yikes, this is difficult. But after two days, I'm already seeing improvement. Yay? Sort of? But bread!

But bread!
My lady friend is mostly-gluten-intolerant and man I would love nothing more than for her to be able to eat bread. That's, like, 90% of my diet!

So hurray!

Anyway, I just ordered a few gluten-free snacks online (with some store credit), so hopefully that will help me get through the bread cravings. Gluten free crap is expensive! Four bagels for $5, what the heck?!

Oh yeah, guys, have I mentioned this? Huh? Did you know? I have a lady friend? Huh? Cause I do. Just thought I'd put that out there.

There, are you happy? :p

It's seriously annoying, though! Have to cut out so many places that we could potentially eat out. Now I'm automatically checking everything I buy and eat, realizing how much of it has gluten. It is a nightmare, and I'm glad it's not a problem I experience personally.

I mean, pooping is complicated enough.
