My sister went as a Bettie Page/pinup girl, and I went as the musclehead from the Planet Fitness commercial.

There was an AWESOME Popeye and Olive Oyl couple at the party. The guy is a bodybuilder and the girl is very skinny, and she made costumes that were spot on. It was a good time.

I love the expression on Maggie's face in that second picture and Satya, I had no idea that person existed but your costume seems pretty accurate. However, I love your sister's; she's lovely, so she pulls it off well.

Heard of Black Swan? Yeah, that's not me. I hated that movie. I'm the ballet academy reject:

I kind of hate this picture but it's the only one I got. The rest of the day I was Motivated Girl, Hopeful Charger Fan, and Depressed Charger Fan. Those costumes were even more lame, if that's possible.

Did you buy that or make it? Either way, it is incredibly awesome.

And Helen, your costumes are great. I especially love puppy's. (I forgot his name--o no!)

Halloween 2012 is almost here, folks!

Our family went to a pumpkinfest today and the girls wore their costumes (that I made!!):

Wonder Woman and Batgirl:

(I have also made a Supergirl costume for myself, but that will debut closer to Halloween)

Trial run of my Halloween costume. Halloween is a BIG DEAL at work.
Each department dresses up as a theme. Acquisitions is Scooby Doo this year!

well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Kelly I love your Daphne!

After being with my lovely husband for 8 years we dressed for Halloween as a couple for the first time!

Image

He isn't really into costumes but he mother and I say the TMNT T-shirt in the window at hot topic and had to get it for him and yellow was much harder to find at this time of year than I expected (I went to 6 different stores before finding some at the second good will I visited). but I think we pulled off Michelangelo and April O'neil pretty well. I had to wear three padded bras at once to even come close to her boobage but I had to get them right because to quote his mother on FB "Chris always had a thing for that April O'Neil!"

I love the Daphne costume, Kelly! You look perfect as her.
The April O'Neil is awesome - I love costumes that go together.

So many of you have seen this on facebook already, but this is my family as Batman, Supergirl, Batgirl and Wonder Woman.

Image

I put so much time and effort into these costumes and I love them. Ginny is SO into being Batgirl. I love that the picture captures that.

Wow! Everyone is awesome! Kelly, you look scarily like Daphne! TMNT couple is perfect - makes me miss my Saturday morning cartoons. And Jan, I love your family's costumes so much! Just awesome. It's also killing me how Ginny's grown this year.

Thanks, guys! I love all of your costumes, as well. And what I love the most is that all of us didn't go out and buy commercial costumes. Everyone put them together and I love that so much! You all put awesome work into the costumes and that's what makes pweb awesome. [I should say that Kinley's is a commercial costume, but my mom got it at a thrift store (it was new, though!) and Tyler's is commercial, but it was a hand-me-down.]
The mustache is back!
I think Syphon has a hard-core crush on Brian's mustache.

I just threw up a little watching that... Ugh.

The only thing worse than onions was that time my husband said "smell this meat and see if it's bad."
It was. :bash:

On the bright side I scared the bejeebs out of some kids too old to trick or treat with my Krueger glove and get up. if I knew how to post a pic I would.

What? Pish posh! I love munching on garlic and onions and things! :) I just don't expect any kisses afterwards!

There's two steps. One is put it on the internet somewhere (Facebook, Photobucket, Imageshack, Flickr, Imgur, take your pick). Then get the link to the image itself - this will vary depending on your browser, but in Firefox you can right click and select "Copy image location", and I think Safari, Opera, and Chrome all have something similar. Not really sure about Internet Explorer though. Then once you've copied it, come here, and paste it into your post, select the link with your mouse, and click the img button above the text box! :) Or just type one of these on either side of your image :)
