Wow, my wish came true. I feel so powerful...for a non-mod.
Hey you, did you get my message? The vm didn't say a name, so I might have left a really long, silly message for some stranger.

I am not a lurker per se, but it's time for my all to infrequent "Noodle posts three or four posts on PWeb and forgets to check back for a few months and then it's been so long that he can't find where he posted so he doesn't know if anybody replied to him" post.
So yeah, here I am. Still think of this place fondly from time to time. If'n any of you's are on the twitter you can get a much more timely response from me over there. Follow me at @mitch_j or on the G+ you can circle me: gplus.to/mitchj

Sorry, guys! I'm going to be lurking or possibly just absent for 2 weeks...
I'm on neurology right now. Today I got to school at 6AM (left home at 5:45) and left school at 7:30PM. I was overwhelmingly busy the whole time I was there (I took about 20 minutes to myself for lunch...) I still had at least a couple of hours of paperwork to do when I got home. This is normal for this rotation.

You guys were the first online community I was a member of, and even though I'm active on other networks now, I still feel like PWeb is home.
I'm really glad to see that many of the people I used to see here are still around and active. I'll do my best to come back and be active, but if I'm not more active, don't take it as a sign that I don't like you folks, it's really just that I forget to keep up with you all.
It's been more than 10 years since I first joined PWeb, and even if I don't make it back here more often, you can rest assured that I will check in from time to time.

So far I'm doing alright at remembering to come back here. My PWeb prime was from 2000-2005ish and I haven't really been active in any form on this most recent iteration. I can't tell you how much it means to be remembered.
Glad to see sandwich boy is still representing the CA here periodically. Heya Zero!
And special hi howdy to Steph, Ela, Luet and EL. Thanks to you for making me feel welcome here. I really am trying to come around these parts as you can tell by the fact that I'm posting and it's 1:45 AM on a work night.

You can add me to the list of those who remember you; you were around my first couple of years. I would have said welcome back earlier but to be honest, I thought you'd do what you did last time and not come back and check and it was a bit discouraging then.
I do hope you stick around, though, I really do.

GD - Thanks! It's good to be back.
And you ladies and your clumsy pencil dropping... I thought sure you'd have that fixed by now. What with nobody to retrieve them for you, and the advancement of the "paperless office" But since it *is* my duty to never leave a pencil on the ground let me get that for you.
I'm trying to make a concerted effort to stick around this time. I really am. I'm sorry for any disappointment from my last few drop ins. It was never my intention. I'm spread pretty thin, and as much as I try to stay around here, I can't guarantee that I won't fade into oblivion again only to return from time to time. I love this place, and the people here. I remember each of you. And you are good people. If you weren't, I wouldn't bother coming back every few months at all.
With the pace of this board (much slower than when I first started) I should be able to keep up with minimal effort, so I'll try my best to put in that effort. You guys deserve my time.

You are welcome as much as you're able! Even if that's just every few months, we're quite happy to see you!
What have you been up to, lo, these many years?

Yay Young Val!
I'm happy to see all these familiar faces. Glad to know that this community is still here and that the people I knew so many years ago are still a big part of it. It really feels like a homecoming of sorts because it's still the same folks who were here when I left.
As to what I've been up to, same old same old. Still married, still no kids, still living in Milwaukee, still working for the same company. Pretty boring.
What's new around these parts? I'm trying to read through some of the threads, but when you've been away as long as I have, it's hard to catch up.

Well, for me, I graduated my BA, did my MA, and got started on my PhD. I'm working on that now, on the history of mental impairment and disability in England, 1350-1450 (whoo, specific!). I also married a fellow pwebber two years ago (Rei, who I think was ReikoDemosthenes on Pweb 2.0), and am expecting a baby in a couple months. I have a not-so-secret alias for talking about the baby, mostly to deter casual googling. We're living in England, no longer friendly Canadia, which is pretty darn cool for the time being.
Despite all that, I feel only marginally more an adult than in 2005, and wonder constantly when I get the guidebook and certificate for adulthood. I like movies with explosions, Latin Scrabble, curry, and my grumpy bird mug.

I remembered seeing that you moved to England. So. cool. I'm jealous. Though I really like Canuckistan, England wins.
Congrats on all the learning. Impressive subjects you're studying there... I wouldn't know the first thing about any of that. But that just goes along with everything I remember about you. Wicked smart, to the point it's intimidating. But your personality doesn't let me be intimidated by you.
Super extra like woah congratulations on the little one to be! I was wondering who the alias belonged to, but since I haven't read that thread yet, I figured it might be more obvious when I tackled it.
Adultism is not all it's portrayed as. I mean it's neat to be able to rent a donkey at will, or go to the amusement park by yourself, but otherwise, all the responsibility is just... just... responsible.

Mr. that is a very fine question. I don't know how we've lived this close and never gotten together. I'm game for a midwest get together. I need to make it out towards Madison more often anyways. There's lots of neat things there that I don't get to do enough, and cool people there that I really don't get to see enough.
EL: Heck, I gotta be honest, I can't be intimidated by anyone here. Y'all are just too nice.

But seriously, holy s*** it's Noodle! And he remembers one of my old names! It figures that you come around when I'm gone for a week. I'm also in the midwest, now, by the way (Illinois). And for old time's sake.... *blinks*
