A lot of "dog people" can be huge snobs about cats, too. "Dogs contribute to society! You'd never see cat do that!" Geeze. Does everything have to be dimorphic? One or the other?
I mean, when someday I don't have my cats, I'll probably get a dog, but it won't be upgrading in any way, it'll just be by then I'll have a yard. Maybe if I only have one cat, I'll get a dog.
Anyway, people are silly.

But that wasn't the cat itself you were smelling, it was the litter box. Again, it's all about how well (or not well), the litter box is maintained. My house does NOT smell like cat (aka, litter box) at all. And I have two cats in a very small house. I despise the smell of litter box. Also, cats definitely smell. I walked into a cat home once and the smell of it nearly knocked me off my feet and definitely made me gag. It was overpoweringly strong. I'm sure my dogs smell too but we take steps to combat that as best as we can.
I'm not saying cats are better than dogs. I think it's about different pets for different personalities. My husband really doesn't like dogs. I am indifferent to them. We both happen to like cats a lot. My brother hates cats and he loves dogs. Everyone is different. I don't think it makes one better than the other.

This still makes me laugh. I just re-found it while emptying my photo card. Best hand of Apples to Apples ever.

I think we're up to six now. This kid is already getting spoiled. The expressions on people's faces when you tell them you're going to have a kid. Also, the jubilations of knitters when they hear the news.

I *think* I gave the point to Winston Churchill, but we all agreed that the hand itself won.

Sorry, in advance.
A musical-ish reenactment of the Hill Conversation.
Jeebs has come out of his hole!
Isn't it just so exciting, Ed?
You know, Pweb needs its droll.
I'm so thrilled he isn't dead.
I refuse to do a musical, Alea.
But I wasn't aware the Irish lived in holes.
I thought they lived in regular homes,
And left the other for trolls.
Well, you see, they're sort of like Hobbits,
But perhaps taller and without the hairy feet.
The holes are of hills, which is where they stay
Most likely to escape what they consider heat.
P.S. I've heard the hills have eyes
I've heard the hills have thighs!
That offers another explanation
As if we needed more Whys,
For why Jeebsy spends so much time there.
That's true. When you're a man,
you can't get enough of the thighs
Just like you can't get enough air.

So raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways, all my underdogs.

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

*giggling*Here's the thing. Victoria's Secret models are not, contrary to popular belief, sexy. Vapidly standing around with your tits and ass hanging out and every last inch of skin exposed while pouting does not sexy make. (Oh snap, I sense a disturbance in the Force...as if millions of male voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly argumentative.)

In elementary school, we learned the song Don Gato. For some reason, I got it in my head recently but I could only remember the first line and that it said "solar plexus" in it somewhere. So, I found it on youtube and made my husband watch it with me. He was not amused but I was and now I'm singing it all the time. Has anyone else ever heard this song?
