Keep talking that way and I'll fly back out there and walk you around that city of yours again. And you just know that's akin to a death threat. That's all I'm sayin'.
Clearly I was using the wording from this:Not my fault, you should have worded it differently.Heeeey, no no, not like that. Perv.
We should all do things!
And you were included in the talk of doing things there.

I am so excited that I can hardly stand it! We should all get together and do something... Anything! One of my favorite things to do in Portland is to just walk around and explore. Of course, if there's anything you wanted to see that's out of walking distance, we have a car!

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

I always feel bad whenever I have visitors because I want to do this, but we end up walking everywhere and they're normally not used to walking everywhere or are out of shape or something, whereas I'm used to walking from 23rd to Pioneer Park and back every other day (this is an exaggeration, but I do walk everywhere because I hate having to find parking).I am so excited that I can hardly stand it! !!!!!!!!!I'M GOING TO BE REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to Denver next week for a workshop, and Steph has agreed it would be a most excellent idea for us to meet while I'm there!
My first ever pwebber meet! SO EXCITED!
Seriously, part of me is waiting for something to happen to make it impossible -- I mean, I lived within two hours of Jan and Chris for years and never met them; Alea flew to North Dakota on the exact same days I was flying OUT of North Dakota; Kelly moved to Minnesota right after I moved to Kansas -- it's been really, really ridiculous that I haven't met anyone.
Finally, finally, finally! Yeehooo!

Believe me, i'm out of shape, but I still love doing it! One of my favorite things to do when we visit California is to spend an entire day just walking around San Francisco.I always feel bad whenever I have visitors because I want to do this, but we end up walking everywhere and they're normally not used to walking everywhere or are out of shape or something, whereas I'm used to walking from 23rd to Pioneer Park and back every other day (this is an exaggeration, but I do walk everywhere because I hate having to find parking).

Please ask the Pwebbers I've met to date if walking is a problem for me. I walk or bike as my main methods of transportation. I think I'm solid.

Need I really ask? Pictures please!!

Well, I didn't get that job, but I this week I was offered a different position that may or may not interfere with our August plans. I'll keep you guys updated as soon as I know anything myself.Actually, my availability may be changing soon. I put in for an opening with the third shift crew. If I get that job, I'll be a monday to friday person and won't get the four day weekends that are really the only thing swing shift has in its favor.

Brian is real, since he's met (me), Alea, and Erica and Pheneous. Erica and Phen are real because they met Alea and me. We all know Alea is real. I've met Dave and Ollie, so I'm real, too. Kirsten will be real for real!!
Hey, Erica, do you want to meet up on thursday, too?

I have often wondered if I am real or not.
Dear Mr. GS,
Thank you for submitting your inquiry to the Board of Real® (BOR). At this time, the BOR will review your file and those belonging to the "Philly Boys." Once we have reached a decision on the nature of your reality, we will send you a notice.
If you are not satisfied with the conclusion the BOR comes to with regards to your reality, you will have 14 days to appeal.
We once again thank you for your inquiry.
Best regards,
GD/Petrie/PA/Half of Pweb

I had the pleasure of spending the evening with Kirsten!
I drove to her hotel this afternoon and I waited outside while 2 of my kids were asleep in the car and she walked down from her room. My mind had envisioned her as somewhat quiet and reserved, but as soon as she walked out that door, she was just this bundle of Kirsten joy that I wish I could properly describe! Arms went out and friendship picked up as if it had always been there.
We drove to my house (Kinley threw up on the way. Lovely.) and met up with Brian and Tyler, who had been at music theatre class. Kinley was clingy from not feeling well, and Brayden and Tyler started out shy. Don't worry, I told her that once they warmed up to her, they would jump on her in the morning if she was sleeping on our couch! We all piled in the car and drove to our favorite Italian place, Cinzetti's which is an incredibly tasty marketplace buffet. The kids really started to show their personalities in the car! I was glad they were warming up. We talked and stuffed ourselves silly with yummy italian food. Then it was back in the car to drive home so Brian could meet up with his best friend and parents who were driving through town. The kids ALL agreed on the way home that they had a lot of fun at the restaurant with Kirsten! Brian demonstrated his egg balancing talent and we took a few pictures. Then I took Kirsten back to the hotel. The drive back to the hotel was much shorter than when I drove to the hotel to pick her up in the first place. I hated to say goodbye, but I was (and still am!) exhausted. I hugged her goodbye and made her promise to come for a vacation weekend where I could really show her what Colorado is made of!
Pictures for Alea (and anyone else who wants to see them):
P.S. Kirsten is going to make a GREAT mom someday!

Kirsten, you look like you deal very well with a horde of clambering children! Of course, they ARE adorable!
I wish I could have been there too!

We sure had a good time visiting with you, Kirsten! I hope we didn't get you sick. I love that picture of the kids climbing on you. They had tons of fun. Thanks for giving us an excuse to go to Cinzetti's! Next time, we'll show you the mountains!

I had an AWESOME time meeting Steph, Brian, and the kids! I've never met a pwebber before, so it was such a weird but good feeling when I walked out of the hotel and saw her sitting there and actually recognized this person I've never technically met before! So hugs and greetings and jump into the car with Brayden and Kinley Poor little Kinley was not feeling good, so she was a little shy when we got home -- man, did that change by the end of the evening! (I credit the bread she was eating at Cinzettis. Italian bread makes everything better.) I can happily verify that the kiddos in person are as beautiful and brilliant as presented on pweb, only moreso if that's possible. Plus Steph and Brian are just a lot of fun to talk with. The drive back to my hotel was way, way too short. I would absolutely love to come up again some weekend when I'm not stuck in classes all day and spend some more time with you guys!

The Steph family are high on the list of pwebbers I really want to meet. I wish I could get sent to a conference near them...

The fact that you would say that is a huge compliment in itself. Infinite compliment feedback loop?I honestly don't think that anyone has ever paid me such a high compliment before.
